Does NBC become a player for the other half of the BIG rights? I know he doesn't do much if anything with CFB but he is MNF lead guy and Michaels is still under contract? Very interesting.

If true, thank god. Tirico is alright at what he does but he is about as bland as white bread and mayo.

Cant believe ESPN kept throwing him out there at every high profile gig you could think of while their best talent (SVP) is on at some ungodly hour of night.

I really hope NBC tries to bid on the other half of the rights. I doubt it but the Tirico move to call 5 Thursday night games and some other things just seems like that isn't enough for what they are paying, seems like maybe they are setting up for something else. NBC gets the BIG forces ND hand to join the conference?

Yes, they are crumbling. NBC can add the BIG, ND joins the conference, they can have 2 games on NBC prime and than the others on BTN/NBCSN/FS1 and Fox.

In the article says Sean McDonough possible replacement. I hope not I think he is one of the better play by play guys they have for college football. Always enjoy the games he and Spielman do. Plus the days of MNF being a big deal are long gone half the time the games are so unappealing anymore with NBC Saturday Night games being the more marquee game of the week.

I recall Tirico in his younger days doing sideline reporting for an Iowa game. Just as the green light came on and he started talking he was pelted with beer cans (empty ones). He was pretty pissed.

I hope Klatt and Johnson do some B1G regular season games. I really liked them in the B1G championship. McDonough and Spielman are really good too. I hope they stay together doing college games.
