They have never “served “. They are a special class that is given a uniform and title because they are doctors, lawyers and dentists.

Really? I grew up in the environment. I speak to my brother regularly. What I said has come my conservative father and my brother from there more than 30 years of service.
And, for the record, all our cars were saluted on base, even mine.
I’m just shocked (and knowing you for a number of years) that a self proclaimed “military brat” would trash anyone in one of those professions who decided to serve their country in one of these capacities.
My daughter in law’s Father is a retired Navy physician who served his country faithfully. He could have made more money in private practice but decided to serve.

And in every conflict throughout history. Military docs have been vital in treating the injured and many medical advances made as a result of those experiences.
I wouldn’t dream of disparaging any American for serving their country in any capacity.

To “use” them in the way he did, yes it is abusive….and immature, too. Childish even… unless he was trying to prove himself “presidential” like Trump.
Unknowingly and unwillingly? Yes. Would you feel differently if it were a member of your family being flown to a place on the promise of a job (which was a lie), where they didn't know where they were or what was going to happen next? Would you approve of that stunt?

They were blatantly lied too. They were taken advantage of. Two wrongs don’t make a right”right” mom. The moral folks of Florida should have been embarrassed. Maybe they were… but there just aren’t that many “moral” folks who live there? The need to cry “Foul” is obviously greater than the need to do the right thing. Real Christianity is truly an uphill battle to be fought every day in a million different ways that most often are never in the headlines. Jesus worked well behind the scenes.
