OT: UNC vs Miami postponed due players party

Yesterday's UNC/Miami game was canceled because a video was posted online of 2 UNC players at a party after they beat Duke Saturday. Miami opted out of the game because they didn't feel comfortable due to the video. The UNC players issued an apology. Thoughts on this? How would you expect/want Iowa to handle this situation if they were in UNC or Miami's shoes?

In my opinion the UNC players obviously should have been smarter, but man it sucks to see college kids get shamed for having any sort of social life. Kinda surprised game was canceled over this.

Why? Is there any specific ACC or NCAA rule that says team members can't be around anyone in the general public unmasked? I genuinely don't know, but that seems like a pretty far fetched rule to enforce.

Doing something stupid is one thing. Hell, it's an understood part of growing up.

Doing something stupid and projecting it out to the rest of the world. Intentionally. That's where there's such a massive generational gap now. (end of old man "get off my lawn" rant)

I'd be in agreement with a forfeit for teams with players that violate expected behavior this egregiously when leagues are trying to keep the season together amidst a viral pandemic. But, the decision about what kind of actions would result in a forfeit vs cancellation should have been hashed out before the season started.

It was posted by students who were in attendance.. not on the team

Bobby’s one of the non believer Covid idiots. That’s what it means. All these kids know the rules and basically they are all supposed to be doing the right thing. If Bohannon was out like this he’d get crucified. UNC is a NCAA tourney team. And it’s not far away. You just have to be smarter than this.
