I'd like to see Missouri lose. I often cheer for the underdog, but the big part is i don't like Missouri being good and competing for recruits with the Hawks.

This rededication of Memorial Stadium and the throwback Illinois unis for the 100 year anniversary is pretty cool. Neat opener by CBS. The faux leather helmets are just too awesome.
Those uniforms are awesome. Can’t believe I like something from Illinois.
I'm wondering if the "leather" helmet thing has ever been done before? I've never seen it. The artist or whomever came up with the design is very creative and talented.

As CBS showed, each helmet was hand painted and airbrushed by artist Armando Villarreal taking over two hours each. He's done some other helmets (eg Utah's) but this appears to be his first leather look. Amazing.

Illinois gave up 42 points to Purdue in regulation last week, and today they have held Michigan to SEVEN with 4 minutes to play.
That decision did as much to win this game as anything. Reminded me of when he totally faked KF out when Bret was at Wisconsin. The fake punt from deep in Wisconsin's own territory set up a game-winning TD that changed the trajectory of both programs. That was around 2010 I think.
With all the money at stake, it wouldn't surprise me to see cfb become the nfl in terms of Referees handing out gifts.
