Late, for the first time in the 9 years we've had the pleasure of her cleaning our home. What should be her punishment? She did text 20 minutes before her scheduled arrival time to let us know she was running late.

Of course, this is Beacon and I'm kidding. Just subtle bragging about how awesome she is...

It really says a lot about a person. It's just laziness.

I look down upon people who hire other people to clean up their mess.
It is pretty sad. I have a cleaning person that comes into my office area at work to empty the trash and clean the floor and I cringe every time them come in.
They usually make a comment like no trash today or I guess I don’t need to clean the floor today because I usually take care of cleaning up after myself. It’s so weird to think someone can’t take a couple of minutes to clean up after themselves.
Do they have the housekeeper come over and wipe their a$$ every time they take a shit too?

You can extend that argument to any service provided, from going to a restaurant and having food cooked and served to you, to snow removal, to lawn care, to pool care, to house cleaning, to changing your oil.

I can see all of those points. But i think most of those are different. Cleaning of a house is mostly needed because of your own doing. You need to clean the floor because of the mess you made. Clean the shitter because of the mess you made. Clean laundry because of the mess you made. Cleaning dishes because of the mess you made. One of the only things that needs done that isn’t a persons direct fault is dusting. You get a house cleaner because you are too lazy to clean up your own mess. The only one I could truly see comparable is going out to eat. A person needs to eat every day and occasionally they are too lazy to make their own food.
I would argue that getting someone to clean your pool, mow your lawn, clear the snow are all a form of laziness as well but at least nature has a hand the need for one of those services.
