Fauci’s idolization is a facet of the Team Blue / Team Red dynamic.

Problem you have is that elements of the IC have been politicized. Under Bush and Obama.

The FBI falsified evidence to obtain a FISC warrant on the opposition party’s presidential campaign.

You know what the “two hop” rule is and how incredibly pervasive the reach of that warrant was. The Watergate break in is so amateur in comparison. But the vast majority of people have no inkling of these details, and as the evening news remains complicit in ignoring it they never will.

I honestly can't comment as much as I'd like to regarding Snowden. He was a Booz contractor with access to things he didn't fully understand, thought he was a "whistle blower" when in reality he violated the Espionage Act of 1917. Not everything regarding that traitor has been made public..

Other than the scams/identity theft concerns, I don’t get too worked up about online privacy. I just count on the fact that there are many, many people out there who are more interesting or more perverted than me.

This all reminds me, I am having a hilarious flashback to the Warchant days in the early 2000s when a poster started an angry post directed at the site owners on how outrageous it was that the banner ads throughout the site were advertising porn. Like three paragraphs on how no kids should be seeing that type of stuff and how the message board was suppose to be a family site and a sermon on Christian values.

Then for five pages he got made fun of for how the porn ads were showing up due to an unsavory porn site he had been looking at installing malware and hijacking the banner ads to show more porn sites. It was epic and his days of posting were over and he was never heard from again.
