And then lease the the land back to the hotels as rent for as long as they can?

Was just reading thats how the investment firms basically busted out Red Lobster. Basically doesn't require you to even develop anything on the land, just massive immediate cash flow, while the actual local management cuts everywhere else to make that monthly rent nut.

If Blackstone was the purchaser, I would agree. Since they're selling to a hotel/motel operator (from India), I think the bedbugs will be safe for a while longer.

I don't travel much. But when I do, I'd rather sleep in my car than a Motel 6.
