It has never been clearer that these guys are in it for themselves, 100%.
Have no ****ing idea what we are doing. Unfortunately I believe they don’t either.Trump supporters would say this is all just the art of the deal, we will not invade. Other Trump supporters say we will invade. That same supporter will also say will buy it. I am left to wonder what he will do. I guess i am taking him at his word though.
Then they wonder why few normal folks are upset one of their underlings gets murdered. It has never been clearer that these guys are in it for themselves, 100%.
I actually caught that when he did it live. Who gives a crap. We all would’ve done the same thing lolThe guy's a gazillionaire and he still projects total incel vibes.
Is that Bezos wife? Wtf is wrong w her face?
It's all very very strange. Never once have I thought, "Gulf of Mexico!?" that needs to be "Gulf of America!" The Gulf of Mexico has been called that since the 16th century. The coast line is shared by the United States, Mexico, and several South American countries, with a total coastline of about 4,300 miles. The U.S. portion spans roughly 1,631 miles, making up around 38% of it, so by all means, let's rename it centuries later. Weird.Trump supporters would say this is all just the art of the deal, we will not invade. Other Trump supporters say we will invade. That same supporter will also say we will buy it. Doubt it. Panama will most likely roll over. Mexico is more problematic to me.So if we take it back by military force here is how this is going to go.
We go in and all the Republicans are going to act like this is a great patriotic effort and anyone who doesn't support it hates America and is a traitor.
There will be guerilla attacks on our troops occupying Panama.
Between 5 to 15 years later those same people will tell us they didn't support invading Panama or complain that Trump lied to them while rushing off to vote for the next Republican who will say Trump was stupid and find a different country he wants to invade for a different reason.
I saw this script play out under W. Bush. Same thing will happen here.

Can us Milwaukee residents stop letting Michigan thumb its nose at us. Call it Lake Wisconsin or Lake Milwaukee. It's all very very strange. Dude must have an absolute shit personality. Watched a bit of JRE and Zuckerberg. My lord that guy has some serious challenges.Imagine being worth a few 100 billion and that is the best you could pull…
It's Chicago Lake. Show some respect. Can us Milwaukee residents stop letting Michigan thumb its nose at us. Call it Lake Wisconsin or Lake Milwaukee.
I'm becoming very interested in reading history about how we got out of the 1st gilded age. I know the Rockefeller's and the Dupont's pretty much kept their fortunes but we somehow got out of that period and into the progressive era that substantively made the United States what it is now and I realize I have almost no idea how that happened. It has never been clearer that these guys are in it for themselves, 100%.

You forgot to mention repeated use of the terms “warmonger” and “MIC.”
Indiana has a piece of it, it should be Lake Indiana.
They made a movie about it, just 40 years too early.Imagine being worth a few 100 billion and that is the best you could pull…
I'd say we outpaced Rome in breadth, but they'll maintain the edge in duration. Are we about to become Rome and conquer the world, or just rename things without actually taking control?
It's insane. It's a total misinterpretation of what makes us the most powerful nation in the world. Trump is effing not just us but future generations in this country. The Post WW2 world and alliance system the United States created and essentially has administered was absolutely not a weight hanging around our neck but was a main linchpin in our current prosperity and status in the world. The government of Panama might roll over. But will the people? People who are going to see this as an insult to their sovereignty?
Donald Trump is going to be making sure we have zero allies left. In a sense his isolationist policy will work because we will be isolated by having zero allies.
His supporters will just tell you that you're not intelligent enough to understand his complex plans. No way I was going to actually watch the inauguration speech but I've read the transcript and he says this:
"My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier. That’s what I want to be, a peacemaker and a unifier", and then just a couple paragraphs later says this:
"And above all, China is operating the Panama Canal, and we didn’t give it to China, we gave it to Panama. And we’re taking it back."
Fascist gonna fascist with the cognitive dissonance, but still, really.....
I've been there twice and have spent a couple of months in Panama. Interesting country and nice place/people in general. There's a skyscraper right on the ocean in Panama City that Trump built. The area west of PC is nicer to spend time in, with the area around David/Boquete being the nicest, imo. Also, was able to see the Caribbean when looking north from one vantage point, then look south and see the Pacific. Pretty narrow there.
Also learned some things about the canal that I had misunderstood for years, based on news reporting back when Carter decided to give it to them. I supported the deal at the time because everything I read or heard about it said 80% of the canal was lakes, so it made sense to me that it be returned because it had always been there. Turns out the lakes were all man-made, created by when we built the canal. I don't think the US taking over the canal zone is feasible, although some Panamanians think it should. Imo, Trump is just angling for reduced fees for our ships and less Chinese influence throughout Panama.

Trump sold it years ago, btw. It hasn't had his name on it for several years. Was originally a hotel, iirc.A Panama tower carries Trump's name and ties to organized crime
The Trump Organization licensed its name to a luxury condo tower in Panama riddled with ties to drug money and international organized crime.www.nbcnews.com
So your post was very relevant. How did you not know that the canal was mostly lakes? Again, why doesn't Trump try to get Chinese control out of our domestic ports first? I believe this might be another case of all for show.Trump sold it years ago, btw. Was originally a hotel, iirc.
And his hotel failed. He blames Panama for the poor management.Panama sued Trump for taxes, this is his revenge. Idiots gave him the power to do it.
Too many parties have a claim to name it. Just call it Lake Trump and be done with itIndiana has a piece of it, it should be Lake Indiana.
We could go the Iowa consolidated small schools route: Lake Wi-Mi-Indi-NoisToo many parties have a claim to name it. Just call it Lake Trump and be done with it
