A Papillion man was arrested this week after he allegedly used a flying drone to secretly record video of a woman and child through the window of an apartment, according to authorities.
A statement from the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office alleges the following:
On Dec. 5, a homeowner found a drone in his backyard near 64th Street and Michael Drive in Papillion. The caller removed the memory card from the drone and watched a portion of a video found on it.

“The caller noticed the drone had taken videos showing the interior of residences, specifically bathrooms and bedrooms,” according to the Sheriff’s Office. The caller then contacted deputies, and the drone was seized.

Investigators determined the drone’s pilot to be Jamal Gloe, 27, of Papillion. They allege Gloe flew his drone several times through the Tuscany Place Apartments and Stockmans Hollow neighborhood near 66th Street and Giles Road in Papillion.

“At least two occasions, Gloe used the drone to shoot video through windows that had open blinds. He filmed an adult female and a juvenile female in various stages of undress,” authorities stated.

Gloe allegedly flew the drone after sunset from the parking lot of the apartments, where he currently resides, and concealed its lights by covering them with black tape.
The two alleged victims were notified by investigators, who do not believe there are other victims at this time.

The affidavit submitted to the court by authorities was ordered to be sealed to protect the privacy of the alleged victims.
Gloe was arrested Tuesday and is currently being held at the Sarpy County Jail on $250,000 bail. He is expected back in Sarpy County Court Feb. 5.
