Nope… never have called in but a big fan of that show… it’s been around for a long time and remember maybe calling in a long time ago… was this on WMT or WHO radio?
I only listen to the podcast which is from WHO. WMT sucks, especially their stupid Tractorcade that ties up traffic every year. I'm sure Lickliter loves the Tractorcade though.

I figured this was the summary. We are basically back to Tom Davis years now anyway. Mostly make the tourney and don't make it to the second weekend.
Losing to Michigan in the Big Ten Title game without scoring.
Beating Kentucky in a bowl game.
Beating Penn St. when they were ranked #2.
Beating our rivals pretty routinely.
Having an awesome defense and high draft picks on defense.
That's all I got.

Going by this kind of logic, we should give Ferentz another raise and extension because he has taken Iowa to heights that the likes of Iowa State and Purdue have never reached.

That's actually a pretty good question.
I get your sentiment and that of many other posters here, but Fry never won a big bowl while at Iowa, either, often getting blown out in the Rose Bowl. Still love Hayden, though, and Ferentz is likely his equal. Fry's offenses were more fun to watch, but when it comes to winning big bowl games, Ferentz has one (Orange Bowl) and Hayden had none. That's Iowa's history over the last 45 years. I'm not sure what planet people here are from when it comes to demanding national championships. Iowa would have made a 12-team playoff six times (I think) under Ferentz and those teams went 2-4 in their bowl games so only the 2004 and 2009 teams would have made it to the second round of the playoffs (granted, the 2002 team wouldn't have faced USC in the first round of a 12-team CFP).
I think the real complaint is that the offense was mostly horrible under BF (except for the Stanley years when it was at least decent). Add the offense of 2002 or 2009 to any of the Iowa teams from 2020 to 2023 and Iowa probably would have made some noise in a 12-team CFP. It really boils down to whether Tim Lester can build a top 20 offense to go with PP's defense. Going with a new coaching regime is a crapshoot comparatively. Could be better, but it could also turn out like Nebraska. I'd like to see what Lester can do over the next couple of years, personally.

KF is a washed up fossil, that has never won anything in 26 years, plays a boring weak schedule that somehow gets a yearly weak schedule from the old boys at the league office.
