So you don't agree with having Tillman as the face of the Nike ad regarding "sacrificing everything"? You can include Kap as one of the flash pics in the ad, but IMHO - Tillman sacrificed a bit more.
So I stand for the military, freedom, responsibility for one's actions and Tillman is against that - I don't think you understand what you are saying.
Considering his family disagrees with you, and agrees with Nike using Kap, you might want to drop this line of argument.
They said they didn't want him used as a political pawn, I am not using him as such, I am saying he sacrificed more. Maybe you need to rethink your line of thinking.
If you stand for the military, then call your representatives in DC and demand that they get us out of the endless, wasteful, needless wars. Demand that the military budget is spent on the things that help the troops and not the things that help the military contractors that donate big money to those same representatives to get those giant contracts for things we don't need.

You also want to deny that Tillman would support Kap? If so, you know nothing about Tillman, nothing about his beliefs, nothing about his politics and don't care to know. Which means you are crapping on him more than Kap and his supporters ever had.
We did that and Obama got us into more wars...I was in, served, 2 tours. I understand the depth of what is happening in the military. I have mentioned many times exactly what you state regarding helping the troops vs paying contractors ridiculous monies. My son is deployed right now, he (and his family) are feeling the brunt of the funding issue as he hasn't been paid separation pay since he deployed (over a year ago). I have stated several times that we don't need to cut the budget, it needs to be appropriated correctly (and even agreed with you several times on that sentiment).
I have called Grassley, Ernst - seems that they are too busy dealing with a whole lot of BS and can't get to the troops just yet.
1. I prefer that Kap is not the face for "sacrifice", tillman and many others portray "sacrifice" at much higher levels than a NFL players making million (if you listen to the video - Tillman even states that the NFL players bitch and whine, and for what).
2. I never said that Tillman would not support Kap. I stated very clearly you could even use Kap as a flash pic in the ad, just not the face. Is that really that hard to read?

To be fair, Kapernick turned down a contract offer from the Broncos. He wants to be paid like a starter even though he wasn't playing all that well at the end of his time in SF.

So your party if failing you, yet you continue to make excuses for them. I hold all of them, every single member of Congress and every POTUS this century responsible. ALL OF THEM. Our current political climate is in shambles because our politicians play party politics and the people who vote for them call out the other side but never hold their side accountable. Call out wrong as wrong, especially when your side does it. Until then, you are nothing more than a party first hack who wants nothing more than to own the other side. I'm truly appreciative for your son and his family. I have numerous deployments, both combat and non combat, over the years and am heading back to Afghanistan myself in a year. But you are not helping him with the excuse making. Hold your side accountable. Until you do that, don't call out the other side for doing the exact same thing.
I'm not a big fan of Kap and I haven't bought any Nike products in years. It's the basic, overall argument the cons use to blast it that I have a problem with.
So why the republican love and support your own words say the Repubs are sitting on their hands. I know many vets and they do not support this president or policies? Repubs scream loud create a diversion then cut veteran benefits.
I have stated many times that they ALL need to go - not just the D or R. So my "party" isn't failing me, it's our government. Our government has been in shambles for years now - not just the past 2 years as so many want to lay blame at.

I do too and I still don't understand it. He is nothing more than a bullshit artist, all sizzle and no steak. He did everything he could to get himself disqualified from military service. Additionally, he has not done a single thing to help vets, or the middle class for that matter, since taking office. But hey, he is sure helping his rich friends out so they got that going for them.
Joining the US Military to go kill Iraqi's isn't sacrificing anything. He got paid for his participation and I'm sure his family got the usual death benefits.
