Disclaimer: I don't personally know PD3 this is from what i have seen on video and read and watched from afar.
My impression--- a very smart and talented wrestler with some self control issues. He reminds me of the wild stallion that may never be broken and that is good and bad. Obviously it got him kicked off ISU but if he learns to channel it ---look out! I think Tom and Terry were similar when young and PD3 is right where he needs to be to make a run at success. His greatest risk now is the distraction--- school then EGO!
There is nothing so common as failed genius. Without discipline and hard work the genius fails. So who wins depends on if the Stallion will run the track or leap the fence. I think he can win it all but will he let himself? I am going to stay tuned to this one.

There have been SOOOO MANY posts on PD3- irregardless if you're a fan or not- at first, (pretty much no one except dad) the majority wern't or not- Now, the majority faithful look the other way in hopes he can score needed points at NCAA's to have a "Not Disappointing" finish. Back in March at NCAA, Cash seemed to have a lot of matches on the mat directly in front of me and I was in row 4 or 5 of the lower bowl. I had a great view of his matches. I came away thinking that the ONLY wrestler that took fewer shots than Cash at the Tournament.............was the guy he happened to be wrestling at the time.
This past Friday night I kept waiting and waiting for him to use his duckunder. It's awesome! Finally.............in Overtime he went to it for the Win. Why not try it during the match?

More than anything I feel that the difference between PSU and the rest of us is that in most every match their wrestlers are looking for falls and TFs. Sadly these last several years I feel like we are trying to survive matches and not make any errors instead of attempting to wipe the floor with the our opponents' asses. Kem seems to be just that kind of wrestler (though the Illini guy had him off his game), and to a point Stoll is that guy (though he's only looking for pins). I would love to see our guys take chances and attempt to do damage...and I would rather they try and fail now so when the B10s and NCAAs come around they know what does and does not work. If they don't shoot they'll have no fricking clue what will work. Thanks for the feedback!

But the kid made mistakes that he would do differently if he had it to do over. Just like all of us. We all make mistakes as youth. I dont want to talk about his cuz I would not want to be hassled about mine many years later and I made plenty that's why I say give him a break. I actually like PD3 and think he is as talented as any, but to bring up the QW pin and excuse away the TF he suffered to Nickal short changes him. Regardless of who wrestled who, one has to beat who is in front of them and not make excuses. PD3 hasn't been pinned since he was in 9th grade, in the semis at the National Preps vs Mario Mason (Sr, #1 ranked in the country, Blair Academy). Come on dude, Nickal and everyone with a wrestling brain in the country knows that PD3 will crush Nickal, or anyone else that has the balls to go upper body; take it easy on the the sauce, dude.

I should have known to not be sensical with you. I was complementary of your son, but acknowledged the excuse for the TF to Nickal was just that. I am well aware Nickal wrestled zero matches prior to TF'ing PD3, I am just saying many others wrestled guys who had a bye/didn't wrestle and didn't have the excuse. JHU not what it used to be....
