I like him as a player. If his knee problems are behind him, the Hawkeyes have a good one.
Pemsl has best post moves since Brunner played for Hawks. Hopefully he steps up his rebounding. He doesn't have Brunner's hops, but he has big caboose.
Amazing performance by Pemsl. Great seals down low and crafty with the ball. Love the moxie and not backing down against Colson. Unfortunately Jok decided to play hero ball at the expense of the team tonight. Bohannon showed up as well with some big 3's. Nice game by Moss, but he needs more PT. Kriener needs more PT as well. Uhl had another stellar game..glad to see his minutes drastically reduced.
Pemsl did indeed take advantage of mismatch with Colson. Course match's up always have an impact on ones performance...Notre Dame won the game at the free throw line...
Never saw him play here in DBQ & "friend" kept saying about CP - "He's lazy, will never be a B10 player". Have to give "old buddy" a call tomorrow. CP is a very impressive player, just hope the surgical procedures he incurred do not hamper him in the future
I like Pemsl and Cook starting together and I'd like Moss in there as well which would put Baer coming off the bench. That would be fine IF CP and TC learn to rebound. They could be a deadly combo offensively.
Cordell was never lazy. Hard to run and jump when your unstable knee hurts all the time, and you're always guarded by two or even three players in high school. At any rate, Bohannon and Pemsl combined tonight for 41 points. Jordan had one turnover and Cordell missed one shot. Fran said on the post-game show that they would both start again this weekend. However, they both benefited by not having much scouting tape on them. Going forward, the opponents will have scouted every move these guys make.

Pemsl is the only player on the team I have seen with stones. He did not take any crap and gave some out. It is too bad he is playing with one and a half legs. It is also unfortunate that Iowa only has Cook who can play above the rim. ND with a small front court played volleyball under the basket.
Is Bohannon a two game a year shooter like so many other past Hawks or is he the real deal? He came in to the game shooting 30% behind the line.

Regarding rebounding comments, roommates Cook and Pemsl both have 30 rebounds on the year. Cook's missed a game and Cordell doesn't have the minutes Cook has. Pemsl leads team in blocked shots. I hope Fran gets both in the game when everyone is healthy. Cook's quicker and a better leaper. Cordell is extremely efficient in his shooting. Maybe Cook should be power forward (where he might play in the pros if he makes it) and Cordell in the middle.
