Kind of leaning towards PSU. I realize Nebbie has a small chance of being our opponent but just don't see them winning 2 games next week at the BIG tourney.

Hard to say. You can probably count on Penn St winning on Wed, but they haven't won many Thurs games in the BTT (of course, they managed to beat us once). They can be very competitive. I think they could have had a better season. They had a murderous schedule, which was even further complicated by COVID cancellations. They could certainly win 2 games in BTT (hopefully not MORE). They won't make any postseason tournament because of their losing record, but if you stuck them in the NCAA Tourney at like an 8-9 seed, they would not look out of place.

It's going to be Wisconsin. They are playing to be a seed lower than an 8 or 9. It's a big game for them. I'm feeling pretty good about playing them again.

I hate Wisconsin because it entirely depends on the officiating crew. They constantly are hands on, hold around screens, moving screens, and just generally mug shit up. If the officials let that crap go then it's a disjointed game that we saw yesterday and it is counter to how Iowa wants to play. If the crew is going to hammer on them early and not let that shit fly then Iowa wins going away because they will be in the double bonus before the 10 minute mark.

I'd rather roll with Penn St. to be honest as it doesn't rely as heavily on the trash Big 10 officiating as much. They have quick guards which can be a problem for Iowa, but they aren't going to create a game that has zero flow because they want it to be a rugby match for a chance to win.

Both play in your jock tough physical defense. Personally I want PSU, playing against their athletes would be a good warm up to face Illinois. That said it's close, PSU gave us a heck of a game and make things difficult.

I'm hoping for PSU because I feel Wisc is a good risk for injury. I feel like it will probably be Wisc though because they might be motivated for a third shot at Iowa.
Certainly there is a chance of injury in any competitive game, especially the kind that Joe had on Sunday. Just bad luck, ( of which we've had plenty) stepping on the defenders foot and rolling his ankle.

Beating the Badgers 3 times in a year would be sooo gooood....BUT, I would not doubt we see PSU and that might be better.

First, PSU just beat Maryland and they are confident and maybe starting on a little run. Then, if they get to us, we would be their 3rd game in 3 days.......so, they get it going and beat Nebraska and then follow it up with a hard fought win against Wisconsin....then maybe a little tired and a half a step slower against us....maybe.

PSU will be tired as well. 3 games in 3 days is tough, especially when the third game is against a team that is fresh and rested. PSU beat the Badgers earlier this year, why not again.

I agree. If it's Wisconsin I would really enjoy beating their dirty a## 3 times. Give their fans another loss to Iowa and watching Davison lose is a treat

Can I just hope the tournament gets canceled? Keep us squarely on a 2 seed line and let us get/stay healthy?

Yes, I’m chicken sh$&. I just desperately want to see this squad healthy and ready for NCAA. Been playing some real good ball lately.

Wisconsin is doing their best Franuary Fade impression. Greguary Gack maybe?

They're a better team than Penn State but the Badgers have all but mailed the season in. I'm guessing that UW prevails in a struggle win. If that's the case, then CJF and Weezy need to be played sparingly. I'd rather Wisky beat Iowa but the Hawks remain intact, than to beat them but have key players miss the postseason.

I’d rather get PSU trying to win their third game in three days because:

1) **** Wisconsin
2) I think the Badgers are really pissed off about yesterday’s game and would have more motivation somehow in a third game.
3) partly due to the second point above, I’m worried about Hawkeye injuries against some dirty and angry players.

Good. I hope they are po'd so if they win we can beat their asses again.

I want Wisconsin and Bo Boroski, Larry Scirotto, and Courtney Green officiating it.

I want PSU to wear themselves out beating the Badgers. Then limp into the Iowa game (literally ..bruised nut sacks and all). Then Iowa can probably take advantage of some fatigue midway through the 2nd half, and run them out of the gym.

The Big Ten teams are so well scouted by each other it really is apples or oranges. The difference way well come down to whether Penn St or Wisconsin can recover physically enough to compete for the entire 40 minutes against a well rested Iowa team. I guess we'll find out on Friday night.

Wow. It sure didn't look like Wisconsin mailed it in yesterday to me. Looked like they played like their lives depended on that game. Maybe its just me though.....

The dirty part of their game was on,.. the part that requires talent and finesse shit the bed about three weeks ago..

I’m hoping for PSU, I just can’t stand the way Wisconsin plays basketball. The constant grabbing coming off screen,
they muck up the flow of the game because of their constant dirty tactics. Now, If Big O comes in and takes Davison out with a good elbow to the throat that would be worth watching. Otherwise F*ck Wisconsin!

Come on PSU! Knock off the Badgers today and hopefully be a little gassed when you play the Hawkeyes tomorrow.

It would be kinda sweet to be playing PSU, a team that would be coming into the Iowa game with:

* bruised testicles
* sore shoulders (from all the hook and holds)
* tired legs from playing their 3rd game in 3 days.

I like that type of match up. ;)

P.S. Fook Wisconsin!!!
