I read Foxnews and CNN during the day and at night I will typically watch Fox. If there is a big news story, I will also watch MSNBC and CNN just too see how they are covering it.

I highly recommend that others do the same. You lose out on the reporting and you might learn something. If there is an issue with a Republican, I don't expect in depth reporting from Fox therefore I will watch CNNs coverage. Same for a democrat, just watch Fox.

For breaking news, I have found twitter to give you info that gets reported by the networks an hour or so later. Mostly from people listening to scanners. Oh you're talking about politics. Politics suck. Carry on.

I always check both MSNBC and Fox for a big political story, and CNN to get an idea for how much the other two are distorting it. CNN typically leans more left than right, but is fairly close to center. As someone else noted the word "infotainment," all news networks are basically that anymore, but unfortunately many don't see it that way, and tend to form opinions from headlines.

I work out every night for an hour, record the 6pm Fox show, cook dinner for the family, get my kid ready for bed, and then finally watch my recorded show around 9:30pm. I might watch some additional news while I cook.

My liberal co-worker had no idea that the FBI was looking at Clintons emails. He said that the shows he watch only say it is a right wing conspiracy.

I would not consider any of the networks to be actually reporting "news". opinions and propaganda, yes.

Well . . . you are at the beginning of a beneficial journey. I hope you continue it. Drop the 3 you mentioned and substitute sources like al Jazeera, BBC, PBS, DW, IBA, France24, RT and such.

You are doing better than those with a steady diet of Fox, but you are still gorging on a steady diet of corporate propaganda tailored to the dumbed-down US audience.

I wouldn't consider primarily watching Fox News with some CNN added and the occasional MSNBC as diversified.

Dittoes. And this has always been the case. Even if all the media are trying to be fair and balanced, sometimes stories slip through the cracks.

Incidentally, watching ABC, CBS and NBC does not qualify as diversity.

There is no news anymore. People just find the talking heads that agree with what they say. Things they disagree with are obviously biased
