Same with musicians. I’m definitely envious of their talent, not awestruck but certainly impressed. There are kids in High School that absolutely blow me away with their talent.

Every time I listen to “You Really Got Me” or “All Day and All of the Night” I remind myself that Dave Davies was 17 years old when The Kinks recorded those songs.
No kidding. I think of guys like Steve Winwood and Led Zeppelin… so young!
We’ve been lucky to have our oldest immersed in the arts, he’s very talented and he’s going to college for a BFA and hopes to someday be on Broadway. I never really appreciated the arts when I was younger but I’ve been really impressed with the level of talent at Decorah HS, and the amount of support and pride they put into it.

Hmmm. I’m not an awestruck kind of person but I did sit next to Roger Maris years ago and thought it was pretty cool.
I met Morgan Fairchild about a year ago. She is still as hot as ever, but unfortunately for her, I was dumbstruck by her beauty.
That never happens but it did this time. She seemed very open to conversation but I kind of flubbed it. I started to mention the famous picture of her wearing a swimsuit on a motorcycle, but then I remembered that she had sued the magazine or/and the photographer for releasing it ... which momentarily left me at a loss on what to say and a life-changing moment evaporated.

I don’t get star struck either and when I’ve been in the presence of celebrities I never felt the urge to engage with them. Now, there is on celebrity I would have to talk to if given the opportunity. Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was my idol growing up.
