Hopefully there are generals and admirals that know what they are doing and have courage to stand up to the future administration. We as a country will need them.

They picked a guy to run one of the largest organizations on earth whose previous executive experience was running a small non profit and serving as a major in the Army? Whose main claim to fame is a part time commentator on Fox?
This is just plain weird. I thought the Noem pick was a stretch, but this is way out there. He seemed to at least have been making some reasonable choices (Rubio, Homan, Stefanik), but this one is really off the wall. What makes this guy qualified to run the huge bureaucracy that is the DoD?

Or perhaps the allegations made in her divorce proceedings would come to the forefront. The DOD advised at the time that they no longer had jurisdiction to investigate the allegations. I expect a background investigation for Secretary of Defense would address this.

He may have been accepted as a legacy or athlete (he played on the Princeton basketball team) but it's something.
