Well, if you want to get technical, that oval does not include Rome (and all the roads from the north that lead to it). Turkey (Asia Minor) is cut off and contains some of the Church’s Paul visited. Some of the Apostles were sent East as far as the Caspian and Indus Valley. Ethiopia is not included either. Looks like modern day Iraq is cut off but all that should be included.

For crying out loud, looks like they bisected the Sinai Penninsula! Stupid meme is stupid.

Can’t wait for soonerinlouisiana, kfsdiciple & jimstarr to come in & spew their bullshit. Always good entertainment.
What I think is odd is how all the atheists on here care a whole lot about what I believe and what others believe and try to make it seem like we are gullible rubes while I couldnt care at all about someone not having those beliefs or not believing in a higher power at all.

Why is that?

You can try to claim that this isnt true but any person that feels the need to call my god, or any god, the "Sky Fairy" clearly cant leave each to their own.

I’m sure you can find a bible verse to give you the answer you’re looking for.

What is there to discuss? It’s a never ending argument between people who believe in science and people who believe in fairy tales.

CSB.
We had an employee once who believed that silverware was around before Adam and Eve.
I made the comment once that someone eating with their fingers was no big deal because fingers were around before forks.
That employee scoffed at the idea and told me I was wrong. I was so flabbergasted that I just shook my head and moved on knowing I would get nowhere with someone who has that mindset. It’s scary how brainwashed people can be.

Most scientists believe in God. It's an atheist myth that science proves atheism.

"Two-thirds of young scientists now say they believe: “66 percent of young scientists profess belief in God or a higher spiritual reality, while only 32 percent are agnostic or atheist—two-thirds are believers, while only one-third are not.” Physicians are even more likely to be believers."

Some of the takes in this thread make me very glad I had the opportunity to take Quest for Human Destiny with Rabbi Jay Holstein. Such a profoundly unique style and view of religion and the toughest questions we face as humans. Forget the sectarian bullshit, focus on the fundamental questions. I may have learned more from that one class than in all of the others I ever took. Just a couple of weeks ago I pulled out my old notes to remember something he said about Ecclesiastes.

Not the same class in this video, but this is the style I remember. I wish they had more footage of the actual substance of the class. I remember him railing against the lethal threat of boredom and yelling, "Now listen to me, listen to me as if your life depends on it," followed by pure wisdom. The inevitable result was more questions, not a satisfying answer, but it was a life-changing experience.

You don't have to travel to every corner of the globe to describe human nature, typical human struggles, the transcendent God, or morality.

I agree in terms of some of the universality of the human experience. I do think it would be strange for an all power God to choose such a circumscribed space and time to make himself most visible. Depending on your theology this means that millions perhaps billions of people are damned based on their time and place of birth.

Because at the end of the day, the atheists one encounters online are nothing more than leftist trolls.

Long ago I worked with a guy, a staunch conservative, who claimed to be an atheist. However, he seldom discussed religion or his lack there of. He simply felt no need to persuade believers of God’s nonexistence, and noted that it was impossible to prove such a negative anyway.
