Please don't boo Cade or Harris on Senior Day

Nobody is going to boo Cade. Everyone is elated that he's not playing. I also doubt anyone is going to boo Harris as he's been a good Hawkeye and a valuable member of the team his entire career. These last 2 games don't take away from any of that.

I think we'll just hear silence. Which maybe will hurt more than booing

Do this instead…

If he was starting still, a few might boo.

Otherwise any logical fan will clap for Cade on senior day, knowing that he worked his @$$ off after multiple injuries and by all accounts, is a great teammate.

Unfortunately for everyone, it just didn't work out for him, but I don't fault the guy.

I've never booed the Hawks and never will. But I do think that healthy players opting out of games, including bowl games, is shameful. I know that many say that it's a justifiable "business decision". I firmly believe its the wrong thing to do to your teammates.

can we boo harris if he bolts to the nfl, no bowl game, and is one of those guys who when getting introduced says "school of hard knocks" instead of iowa?{ assuming he starts in the nfl}

this fan base has no grip on reality when it comes to how they should act or should not act... look at the BF debacle and the lady who goes in the restroom and does everybody in minneapolis.

Wait, Lois did “everybody”? I was at that game dammit how did I miss out?

Haha. Speak for yourself. These last two games and, whatever with Cade, absolutely can take away everything. My guess is Harris isn’t and wasn’t paid anywhere close to Cade. You get paid to perform like Cade did and you fail miserably, and then whatever is happening now, people can boo if they want. I won’t be but expect there to be some.

Are you keeping up????????? Trent Condon says Jemari has been injured most of the season and needs the time off to allow it to heal so he can actually be 100% by the time of tryouts. Boy isn't that so selfish of him?????????????? I bet he has Phil and Kirk's blessing.

There’s a definite distinction between Harris and Cade in this scenario.

Just getting this out of the way now.

It won't help with recruiting to have dudes bitter towards the Iowa fanbase. Plus I'm not sure anyone outside of that locker room will ever know the truth, no matter what KF says in pressers.

I know it was a bad look on their part.
Why would Harris even walk when he has opted out of the last three games of the season? That is a nice way of saying he quit the team. It’s not like he opted out of the bowl game.

He was injured most of season and played through it. He needs the time off to heal so he can be 100% for NFL tryouts. The only way he gets to 100% is doing what he is doing. Boy, isnt that selfish of him that he won't play so you can get your jollies.

A reasonable request.
