They would probably hang banners for a mediocre season at Minny. So, he's gotta start somewhere.
Now, If you started going to major bowls and contending for conference titles every now and then like Iowa, I'm sure you would erect a statue of him outside the stadium.
The one guy is close to being ranked the number one prospect in the country.

You did watch the 2015 season right? What about 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009? Did you watch any of those.
Your definition of mediocre and mine differ significantly. Our recruiting goal classes are building. Our young players are exceeding expectations.
We were less than a handful of plays from a ten win season. We only had two bad losses.
We’ll be coming into the second year of a revamped offensive staff, which should see significant development. If we can get back to running the ball with consistency we have a B1G contender.

No one here is bragging about how great of shape Iowa's program is in right now; every single fan was disappointed in this past season. Yet they were solidly ahead of where Minnesota is, and won 8 games, more than what Minnesota usually does.
You're coming over to our board and bragging about how great the Gopher program is, your most solid arguments being that you have a coach who was successful in the MAC, and now have a couple guys who haven't played a snap of college football who are already better than everyone on Iowa's D-line.

The Gopher's are going to have to accomplish a little more in order to earn respect, even from Iowa fans. Until then, posts like yours are only fodder for ridicule.
We played one of the 5 hardest schedules in all of college football. Meanwhile, Minnesota's schedule couldn't even crack the top 50. Lol.

Part of what you're trying to tell us is that some of your OL recruits have been playing very well against some of the best DL recruits. That's great ... a fan should be excited about their team.
Two years ago, Iowa's DT Cedric Lattimore was at a combine (I cannot remember if it was an under-armour or nike camp) ... and he was the most impressive player there ... out-performing 4- and 5-star competition.
As Iowa fans have currently been espousing ... obviously Iowa landed one of the nation's best SDEs last year in AJ Epenesa (5-star recruit).
Of course, Iowa fans this year are likely quite excited about guys like Daviyon Nixon (under-rated due to grades out of high school ... got recruited by Alabama out of JUCO) at DT and John Waggoner at DE (a 4-star DE).
Myself, I could care less about recruiting "stars." What I DO KNOW is that few people do a better job of teaching and developing talent than Iowa's DL coach, Reese Morgan. One of the D-linemen who I'm most excited about is Anthony Nelson ... a guy who just finished his RS SO season ... and who led the Hawks in sacks.
By my count ... Iowa's DL has a "head start" on your promising young OL. If they can continue to hold that advantage ... it will still be a while before you'll be able to truly appreciate the impact of the guys you're excited about on the grid-iron.
As I said before ... feel free to be excited (you should be) ... but you have some waiting ahead of yourself.

Goldy...pre-Minny, Fleck did say he wanted to go to a team like Iowa. However, Iowa's AD can see through the bull sh*t of a guy like P.J. Also, Ferentz was NEVER in any trouble of being let go.
Just keep that grocery bag sail flying and you'll cross by lake past the Canadian border into Minnesota. You can do it!

Iowa had the best defensive back in the country on its defense and probably the best MLB . Your statement is garbage , come to think of it , your team is garbage . Iowa was beating BC while the Goofs were beating their , well You know .
