When her days playing for the Hawkeyes are done will you watch her WNBA games or does your interest in her end when she departs Iowa City?
The Dallas Alumni Club got a block of tickets when Meghan was going to play for the Dallas Whatevertheyares. Right before her first game, she got cut.I tried to catch Gustafson in the WNBA without much success. I actually had more luck watching European league highlights of her, but not even much there. Clark will be more visible if she is a starter in the WNBA, but I won't make much effort, again, maybe highlights of games.
Pro sports suck. All of them.Even Meghan said women basketball at its best is the college game. It’s a team sport with friends that is more fun than the pros. I prefer the college game over pros in almost all sports other than golf
Are you saying you don't think she's good enough? Just looking at a mock draft for 2024 and she's the number 1 pick. She's not only a tremendous player she puts butts in the seats. No idea what you are talking about. The Dallas Alumni Club got a block of tickets when Meghan was going to play for the Dallas Whatevertheyares. Right before her first game, she got cut.
That won’t happen to Clark, but I think people overestimate just how much playing time she will get in the “pros.”
She will be a starter from Day 1 and any smart franchise makes sure of that for both basketball and marketing reasons. Will I watch her games when in the WNBA - not very likely. The Dallas Alumni Club got a block of tickets when Meghan was going to play for the Dallas Whatevertheyares. Right before her first game, she got cut.

Well there's always a chance Warnock could work on my teeth, so she would probably have more relevance to me post Iowa.I wish her, McKenna, and all the gals success in their future endeavors, but the next WNBA game I watch any part of will be the first one.
If your talking about Clark, Your kidding right? Every pro player male and female fully expect her to be the #1 pick in the wnba when she goes and to be a star, putting a bolt of energy into their game. Read some of Kevin Durants comments about Clark and her future.....The Dallas Alumni Club got a block of tickets when Meghan was going to play for the Dallas Whatevertheyares. a full game/season. No you probably won't. You watch Iowa, first and foremost for iowa and it's other players. Having no tie to whatever nba team she plays for, most people will watch for a few minutes then move on.And yes, if I switch on the TV and Clark is playing in the pros I'll certainly watch her. Why wouldn't I?
Wow. Pro athletes supporting s player that will play in a league that they basically own. Ask Durant or any other male pro if they will let her play 20 minutes a game on their team. That will tell you if they are simply blowing smoke. That little scoop shot she takes and makes in college is blocked half the time in the NBA. Many of her passes which are assists in college would be turn overs in the Pro as players are faster and bigger. If any player on the men's team at any school in the BIG turned the ball over as much as she does, they would be sitting on the bench,If your talking about Clark, Your kidding right? Bill Burr already answered this question. When her days playing for the Hawkeyes are done will you watch her WNBA games or does your interest in her end when she departs Iowa City?
We’ll see. Meghan was practically unstoppable in college. When she got drafted into the WNBA, she didn’t make the roster. If your talking about Clark, Your kidding right? Really poor comparison. Gussy was the female Garza. Great college player who's game did not translate to the pro's. Thats why she's hanging on to the bench in the NBA and had to learn to extend her range out to the 3 point line. The same reason that Monica will not be in the WNBA. Clark will make er mark on the league....We’ll see. Meghan was practically unstoppable in college. When she got drafted into the WNBA, she didn’t make the roster.
And again, I’m not saying that will happen to Clark. I am saying people could be overestimating the impact she will have in the league. She will be facing defenders that are faster, taller, and stronger than anyone she has faced before.
So all the comparisons to her being a cross of Diana Taurasi, and Sue Bird are all crap, right? So how many of those 28-30 ft 3's are going to get blocked? Her passes are what they are because she has unique vision and basketball IQ and processes whats going on faster then ANYONE who has played. Fastest player to 2000 points, ONLY women to lead the nation in scoring AND assists, basically the last TWO seasons, and will be the first collegiate player to score over 3600 points in D1, man or women. All things that ZERO female college player have ever done, (including every woman to ever play in college), and she plays at the highest level of the game. Has incredible desire to win, AND to improve, but she'll just never get any better right? But no, she's just going to be a bench warmer in the league?Wow. She is good and will be a good player in the pros, but she isn't the second coming of Larry Bird.
Something else to consider. She's doing all this on a team of wonderful young ladies, but NONE of them (except possibly Stuelke) will be playing in the WNBA, but she plays against a lot of future pro players, and they certainly haven't stopped her. Now put her on a team of pro players, and you don't think she'll be able to facilitate their offense surrounded with better athletes, shooters and scorers. Really? Many of her assists come in transition, and she'll just as dynamic in the open floor on the pros with better athletes spacing and running the floor.....Wow. No. Once Spring football practices start they just shut it down.As the years have gone on I started really only watching the Hawkeyes. That and the NCAA tournament rounds of 64 and 32 mostly. Is there anything after those rounds?
Tbf, I don't watch much pro ball period. I haven't seen much of Garza when he played. Never saw Weiskamp, and lol at the Kings being on television here in Iowa.I tried to catch Gustafson in the WNBA without much success. I actually had more luck watching European league highlights of her, but not even much there. Yes, I probably will. Quit being an ass.a full game/season. No you probably won't. You watch Iowa, first and foremost for iowa and it's other players. Having no tie to whatever nba team she plays for, most people will watch for a few minutes then move on.
You know nothing about basketball. As @kceasthawk said, this is the worst comparison possible. Czinanzo (sp) did not dribble the ball once the other night. Meghan was the same way. Great moves around the bucket but so much of our success for our bigs is because of Jan Jensen. Clark is is a once in a generation player for a program like Iowa. She’s dominating against the biggest and best players already. We’ll see. Meghan was practically unstoppable in college. When she got drafted into the WNBA, she didn’t make the roster.
