The family and I are planning our spring break vacation to SoCal and the kids keep asking us if we are worried about flying right now.
Take the wild dog (Greyhound). The bus will be much safer and give you a sense of adventure.

I had some bad flight experiences in 1996 and didn’t fly again until last year. None of the recent incidents have affected my newly rediscovered comfort level with flying.

not gonna lie. i had cancelled a trip (hotel and nonrefundable air ticket were both booked) to nyc right after the 2 crashes. granted there was a legit reason to cancel but if i wasn't feeling spooked i would've gone anyway

Only if i know bad weather is on the path we are taking, i would be concerned. And only if CRAZY THUMP continues firing Air Traffic controllers.

Headed to Europe in May. Other than swollen ankles from the long flight I’m not worried.
I’m really more worried about my cruise since it’s not a guarantee that Santorini will even be there as one of the ports on the itinerary.

Bad weather is the only scary experience I’ve had while flying. Flying into Newark around a horrible thunderstorm and the captain apologized in advance for a pretty rough landing he anticipated.
I think I said 100 Hail Mary’s and made twelve Acts of Contrition in about five minutes.

During a military flight over the pacific ocean our plane C- 130 H dropped like rock over 15,000 feet, air pocket,. that was concerning. I had one flight, with AIR WEATHER Squadron where we flew into the center of a hurricane, still don't know why i volunteered for it. That was a rocky flight.

Wife is flying to NYC Friday and is way more concerned about driving from the airport to Princeton NJ than she is about the flight. I’ll have to remind her of the recent crashes so she’ll be nervous for the flight too. Thanks OP.

Sitting in ATL right now and alarms went off with a recorded message stating there was an emergency in the building and to stay put until further instructions. It repeated for about 5 minutes, then stopped. No follow up, no further message. No one even looked up. Travelers are callous AF.
