The only thing better than 63-14 would be 70-14.
Personally Ive always felt it would be more humiliating if a team started kneeling out the game early in the 4th quarter. Maybe add a "we didn't want to see any of those nice Nebraska boys get hurt" after the game for good measure.

Yeah. Could have hung 70 easy. Neb was so set up for easy play action td’s. Oh well, we can save 70 for next year
I haven’t seen the replay, but I do not think we threw the ball even once in the 4th quarter and still scored 2 TDs and could have been 3 on our final drive.

I did think for a moment, holy crap Iowa is going to score 60. However, it was just dive left, dive right. So Iowa would've had to do it being vanilla as vanilla can be. Kirk wasn't going to run anything special to score again.
Nebraska is lucky they have been in the B1G these last few years. If they had still been in the B12, they would have had a lot more 70s and even some 80s hung on them.
As it is, none of us in the B1G really have any history of past husker humiliations that we need to therapy out of our system by running it up on them.

Iowa has a couple humiliations against Nebraska, they just choose to ignore 1999 and 2000, KFs first years after all do not count.
Nah, those hardly scratched the surface of our collective psyche. I don't even remember the games, what were the scores? It's not like Nebraska was doing anything unique to us then, anyway. Most teams in conference gave it to us pretty hard then, and ISU was far more memorable.
Nah, like I said, we were a lot of teams' whipping boys for those couple years, and it's the in-laws you see once a year for forever whose transgressions you remember.
You guys were just a blip to us, unlike the annual hurricane you were to generations of folks in Kansas, Missouri, and Ames.
Oh I remember them vividly. Which is why a game like today is so enjoyable.

It would look nice, but I have empathy for the nice folks of Nebraska and their football fans. Iowa wrestling is not where we feel we belong at the moment, but we're on the way back. Hopefully Nebby is too, it's all they have in that godforsaken state.
Our team was wandering in the transitional wilderness, much like yours has been doing now for a number of years, albeit with better talent than Ferentz started with.

Nebraska had nothing left after we went up 35-14. Our O-line was pushing them 10 yards back.
And yes it should have been 63. No idea how that first fumble was ruled incomplete.

Oh I remember. I was at the 42-7 game and a few others during those rough years. Ya know what? I stayed inside the stadium until it was 00:00 in the 4th quarter too.
