I think most see this as what it is. Hall is a very elite defensive guy who knows he can win every scramble and he typically does. But his low scoring style leaves the doors open for other elite guys.
Id favor Hall 4-3 but it also wouldn't surprise me if Hall goes 0-2 in duals at Carver Hawkeye in his career. I can see that trivia question now!

A lot of depends on what the lineup looks like. Depends a lot on who is at 133-149 for me. But here goes my WAY to early thoughts...
125: Lee tech 5-0 Hawks
133: Desanto wbd 8-0 Hawks
141: Teasdale wbd 11-0 Hawks
149: we lose by dec here weather its Lugo, Murin or Turk. 11-3 Hawks
157: Young wbd 14-3 Hawks
165: Bull wbd until proven otherwise he has Joseph's number 17-3 Hawks
174: Hall wbd for now I want see Kem and how he looks up 2 weights but I could easily change this match result. 17-6 Hawks
184: Rasheed wbmd Cash frustrates me so much and will keep doing so 17-11 Hawks
197: Pivotal match have to win this Cael and now Snyder will have him ready. I still think Warner wins round 1 with a little Carver magic. 20-11
Hwt: Cassar just better right now. Maybe in a year or 2 things would be different but right now Cassar wbd 20-14!

Could wrestle 10 times and get 10 different results. 133 could go psu's way, 141 could go psu's way, Iowa could win 149, as crazy as it sounds Iowa could get bonus pts at 157, psu could win 165 nevermind I just dont see that one happening, Kem could win at 174, psu could win 197 and they could get bonus pts at hwt.
Only thing I am 100% on are bonus at 125 for Hawks, 165 win for Hawks, 184 & hwt losses for Iowa. The rest is up for grabs!

You can make the same argument in favor of Lee over Desanto. Since they both have big motors, it should come down to skill. I think at this point, Lee has a more varied arsenal of attacks so I'd favor him, but Desanto made big gains in the room last year, so he could come back much improved. It will be a war if Desanto is at 141.Good start on the prediction. I think DeSanto can beat Lee, because Lee depends on his motor and comes on late--good luck with that as it pertains to DeSanto

My friend, I hope you're right! Kem was a beast prior to the injury bug and deserves a much better college wrestling experience than he's had so far. Hopefully the wrestling gods will smile down on him and he'll bring home all the hardware!!

Out of all of that, you took exception to Teasdale beating Lee? I don’t see Gavin at 141 but if he was big enough, I don’t see why he couldn’t win. I wouldn’t favor him in that matchup necessarily just like I probably don’t favor desanto or Murin against him. I would’ve thought you’d have something to say about the 20-14 score or the prediction of only one bonus win (a major at that) by penn state. I’m semi-realistic and will say it’s going to be tough for Iowa to win. We are going to have to have top notch performances from every weight and win one or two we’re not supposed to in order to take the dual. And, unfortunately, psu will bonus in a match or two and it probably wont be just a major. “That’s what we do”. Corny lines but they do show up to wrestle. It’s going to be a great lineup of stars battling for sure. And for the record, nick lee is known to have a hiccup here and there. He’s a tough SOB but he’s nowhere near your typical psu elite. I’d compare him to shak and rby, not cenzo, hall or cassar. I just decided that I’m going to this dual. Hope to see you there for some banter and belligerence.

With Iowa now in great position for 2nd, we get the 2 most vocal online fan bases at each other’s throats all year! To be honest as good as tOSU has been in past 5 yrs or so, it’s been boring as a PSU fan because they don’t have a passionate online fan base. With Iowa as the probable #2? Finally! How much time did Teasdale spend in the practice room last year? Was he going against RBY (or lee, or Teske) regularly, or was he away from the team? I know they matched up a few times in HS, but curious what their battles looked like since
Because Kem hasn't done shit to prove he's there yet. He hasn't even made an NCAA finals and has been hurt a year and moving up two weights and you all have him beating hall. Hmmmmmmm. Knowledgeable fans huh

I would make the argument he is 60-6 lifetime with 4 of those losses coming to a stud named Nolf, a more talented wrestler than Hall in my opinion. He did all of this while pulling significant weight and wrestling injured. A healthy well fed Kem will prove "he is there" this year
