Deplorable:

Four years after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack at the Capitol that sparked widespread condemnation and bipartisan disapproval, public sentiment toward the deadly insurrection appears to have softened.
According to a new CBS News/YouGov poll, 80 percent of Americans overall and 70 percent of Republicans disapprove of the actions of those who forced their way into the U.S. Capitol, but “strong” disapproval has fallen from 51 percent four years ago to 30 percent.

Also in the poll, 72 percent of Republicans said they would support Donald Trump pardoning rioters who forced their way into the Capitol, while 59 percent of Americans overall said they would oppose it.
The poll of 2,244 Americans was conducted between Dec. 18 and Dec. 20 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 2.4 percentage points.

I still remember watching in real time, so I know what's up. It was worse than any republican will admit and maybe more benign than any dem would have us believe. But that's only because the rioters started getting cold feet when they saw how little backup they were getting. The thought Trump was going to show up behind them but when he pussed out they eased up. The full intention was always there. why was it there? Trump's baseless lies.

This is why we're fooked as a country. Can't have a country when 40% of the population is okay with coups when they lose the election.
Even worse, is they don't even believe it happened because Tucker and Trump told them it was a 'peaceful protest." We are living in an alternate universe where MAGA can't see with their own eyes. They have to be told what they really saw from their orange man and his enablers.

Thanks for clarifying your an idiot. Made up issue. If Harris supporters were doing what MAGA did on Jan 6 today, you would want them all hung.
I don’t usually do the grammar police thing but if you’re going to call someone an idiot you might to make sure you’re not being an idiot yourself.

It was not an insurrection and every honest person knows that. It was a protest by many and a riot by a minority.

Criminal acts occurred that day and accountability is in order but there are real issues regarding violations of the Eighth amendment of the U.S. constitution.

Many of the concerns will be remedied via the upcoming presidential commutations and/or pardons.

Because the further you get from an event the less people remember. Revisionism isn’t a new phenomenon and burying things works.

Can you imagine if we knew in 2001 what we know now about the Saudi’s involvement in 9/11?

Seems in letter (definition) and spirit it was.

It was aimed at disrupting the peaceful transfer of power, a principle at the heart of our system of government.

A crisis so magnificent the committee investigating everything need a veteran and award winning TV producer to be involved. For production value. Like Netflix.
