Lemming.
You people are so stupid I don't know how you breathe on your own.
Science tells me that I am in a vulnerable group and that my wife is even more vulnerable so I would get the vaccine to protect her. I think of others, you selfish SOB.
And I act according to my conscience, using what science and history tells me, not some anonymous internet dweeb who tells me what to think like you do. Who is a lemming?

Lol, you're probably one of the morons wearing a mask 😷 in your car, by yourself.

For what it's worth, the results of this poll will be skewed because are large number of posters here will claim they don't want the vaccine at all. The results would be clearer if you could somehow ask this question to only those who actually intend to take the vaccine.

In somewhat related news, the NBA's Adam Silver has stated that he would like to vaccinate the entire league soon. These commissioners have claimed they do not want to 'jump the line' in front of at-risk groups, but the boldness of Silver is he's saying he wants to do this as a PSA. African Americans are getting hit harder with Covid than most other demographics so he wants to showcase his league, which has majority African American players, will trust the safeness of the vaccine because many in the African American community are hesitant to take the vaccine for various reasons.

I'm not saying I'm for or against the NBA vaccinating the league (they certainly have the power to do so over the NCAA). But to use PSA for disenfranchised groups as your reasoning, I'm both impressed by his creativity and also angered by his obfuscation. It's slick, Silver.

Not to argue, but "thinking of others", give it to your wife to protect her

For those who voted "no", does that hold IF the player was Garza? Please consider the "greater good"; your-selfishness could deprive a lot of nice fans a happy 24-36 hours! Players could lose fulfillment of a dream season! May God have mercy upon your soul!

Really. What science is it that you are following?
You do realize that "SCIENCE" has been wrong way more than it hs been right, and that much of what most people call science is not science at all. Most of the so called science around Covid is not backed up by scientific study.
Ie lockdowna prevent the transmission yet California which has taken some of the most draconian measures regarding lockdowns has the worst results.
Indoor eating and drinking is banned in many states yet statistically these locations account for less than 3% of transmissions of Covid.
Schools are closed, yet the numbers show that there is very little transmission to other students or teachers.
Do you wear a mask outside? Why again those same scientists say that almost zero transmission occurs outdoors.

I understand that you and your wife are in a group that Covid presents itself as more deadly to and that you should indeed be more cautious .

However, don't confuse science with Fear.
Both are real, but what little science that exists about Covid doesn't support much of what the government has done and continues to do.

This is full of binary thinking. However, I really don't want to engage with the troll. I'll just say, there are often a multitude of factors that can influence data and selectively pulling one data point does not necessarily provide evidence of causation.

Covid is real. We cannot eliminate risk completely. Basic risk-reduction measures do mitigate spread. Covid may not affect you but you can spread it to many more who could suffer. We're a year into this, it isn't hard.

Yeah, we are a year in to it and we were originally told to expect 10 million dead by the end of 2020.
Not a chance those doomsdayers could possibly be wrong, correct?

The data provided by research and statistics are the science I am referring to. We have seen data from countries that took a more serious and comprehensive approach to Covid-19 than the US (Australia, for example) and they are doing a HELL of a lot better than we are. No comparison, actually. We are down there with the worst countries for how we handled it.

Again, binary thinking. Mitigation measures have saved lives. How many? Well that is hard to quantify with something with as many variables as Covid (fatality rates, different measures across different states, no clear national policy or plan at any point). Did some throw out bold predictions like 10 million? Perhaps, but that doesn't speak for every epidemiologist who understood the potential deadly risks of mass exposure of Covid to the US populace. So yeah, a poor fatality projection at a time when little was known about Covid does not make me upset because it's irrelevant to be talking about in 2021, yet you are. The point is this virus could have been far worse if preventative measures did not take place, not to mention how far worse the fatality numbers could have been if Covid-19 turned out to be more lethal among all age brackets while maintaining the same transmissibility. 400k+ dead and we are lucky for that, so I'll give the early 'doomsdayers' a pass, per my explanation above.

This whole situation was a no win kind of deal for everyone that was in front of it. People were mad about an over reaction, people were mad not enough was done to limit the spread and all along people were learning about the virus.

Regarding a vaccine, calling someone a name because they don't know if they will get a vaccine is so foolish. Everyone gets to determine what is best for themselves and their family.

Except when someone spreads a potentially fatal virus because of this. There are people who work in care facilities who are refusing to be vaccinated. They are selfish because this is about all of us, not just ME. This ME FIRST attitude has been front and center and encouraged for the past several years. It's high time for people to start thinking about others.

You and your vaccine can stick it where the sun don't shine.
Stay away from others and live your life until you're not afraid to come outside but quit telling the rest of the world what to do.
People aren't dying in the streets and the majority of the dead had a pre-existing condition.
It's reality and you're going to have to learn to deal.
I have learned to deal by adding the word Covid to different songs- Hey Covid was a huge Beatle song along with All My Covid. You can add it to most songs!😉😘

Have a nice day.

This is not only cringeworthy, the syllables don’t match.

When you sing it it works.
Hey Covid, don't make it bad. Get the virus and then get better. The minute you let it under your skin then you'll begin to get better.

It works for most tunes, try it and thank me later.

No, no it doesn’t. Jude is 1 syllable. I hate when people try to do parodies of songs and the syllables don’t match.

Well, you're wrong.

You can try She Loves Covid or All My Covid.

Elton sang Covid my virus, you are older than me.... Haven't worked those lyrics yet

Do you have any songs about cancer? Or how about 9/11? Surely we can sing about 9/11, I mean only like 3,000 people died.

No, those weren't politicial footballs where people disagreed about the issue.

Continue to live your life in fear 😱 and I'll live mine smiling and joyfully not scared of the dreaded Covid....

You seem to equate people taking reasonable precautions to living in fear. Getting a doctor's checkup? Living in fear. You wear a seatbelt? Living in fear.

Lol, nice try, not analogous.
People aren't dying in the streets and this is NOWHERE close to as bad as we were told it was going to be.
If you can't figure it out on you're own then I don't know what to tell you but good luck.
