Positives
- Both running backs looked fantastic. Minimal negative rushing plays
- OL was fantastic in both areas.
- Playcalling was good for the most part. Missed at least 2 greatly timed deep shots by Petras
- LaPorta was great
- Linderbaum returned to the game
- Harris was good
- ZVV
- The DL was GREAT. Best game all season from them in the pass rush
- Jack Campbell and Seth Benson
- Screen game was the best it's looked in a LONG time.
Negatives
- Petras was flat out bad. Just terrible. Missed multiple WIDE open shots. Iowa wins that game with a MAC QB
- No WR stepped up with KJ/Tracy gone in the pass game.
- Didn't think Belton played very well
- Taylor and Jones were both subpar today
- Taking the TO after trying to draw off UK..just dumb. Take the 5 yards and keep the TO
- Go for it....
- Tackling. Not good. Been an issue for a majority of the last few games.
All in all, a lot of encouraging things from this game with the running backs and OL looking good, and the defense buckled down, but it sucks to lose this game. We already knew this, but Iowa needs a QB to be a real team, and it HAS to happen. Get. A. Transfer. Refusing to do so shows that you are not interested in putting the best team on the field that you can.
