I have been a long time Hawk fan, since 1980, and I have never been to a practice. If anyone that goes down would like to have someone go down with them let me know. I am in N.E. Cedar Rapids and my schedule is pretty open.

Went down last week, had a nice chat with Terry. . . but learned that they had to watch an NCAA rules video that afternoon and were going for a run afterward. So no dice. So close. . . .
I have a friend who lives N.E. Lynbrook Drive who follows the wrestling team. I'll ask him.
This weekend would probably be a good time to go. Didn't M* say the 3rd weekend in Oct they will 8-12 recruits visiting?
I've been to a couple of practices. Both times I had an AMAZING time... the last being prior to the first home football game this season. Unfortunately a friend and I showed up roughly 2 hours before practice started (got times mixed up). To our surprise, however, Tom was already there prepping... He chatted with my buddy and I for a while whilst' watching FloPro videos from his account on the flat screen. After a bit of back and forth banter he asked us our shirt size... He came back from the corner closet with some Hawkeye Wrestling Club Under Armour and Nike gear for us. Made. My. Month.
I definitely plan on making it down again sometime soon!

My wife and i stopped to see the Wrestling room this past summer as we traveled back from Mt Rushmore...Iowa City was a must see stop. It has been since the 80s since i wrestled in Iowa as a High school member of the Pennsylvania Freestyle and Greco team. We arrived and were just walking around the arena when we ran into Tom ......chatted a bit, took a few pics and he was leaving for a lunch speaking engagement. Before he left he gave us directions to the room and then headed off. On our way down Terry " found us" as he had been texting with Tom and then Terry proceeded to show us around. what great insight into the mindset of such a great program. After finding out we were from PA he found Kemmerer and introduced us as PA neighbors...we are actually not that far from his home and we had a great talk with him as well. We talked about a possible recruit named Max Murin who at the time was a hopeful to sign soon....he actually wrestles for a neighboring school from where i teach so i do know him. We then spent some time in the room talking with the other guys and as they headed out and we started to leave...but not before we were directed to the wrestling office and given posters and calendars and all kinds of GREAT IOWA mementos that are plastered all throughout my classroom. This time as we left we ran into Morningstar and then Clark and Gillman...we shared some thoughts and a lot of laughs and took some awesome pics and they went their way and we went ours.Being 30 minutes from PSU and being an IOWA fan isnt always the easiest thing ....But its definitely the RIGHT CHOICE FOR ME.
So showing up at the wrong time is the best time...got it.
Sounds like showing up at anytime could be a good time for hawk fans. You might either get wrasslin' or one on one time with coaches and staff.
Although I have to admit the possibility of watching sammy get brutalized by perez perez would have to be right up there on top of things to see in CHA.
