Pro Football Focus LOVES Josh Jackson

Hope you are wrong, but if he has more games like Minny he's going to garner even more attention from the pros.

He's a stud. Really hope he stays because we'll especially need him next year to help offset the loss of the LBs.

Selfishly, I hope he comes back, but this kid is too good to stick around for another year. He's improved by leaps and bounds from last season and he's due to get PAID. Every bit as good as Des King and King shoulda left after his JR year.

It will be interesting to see next years contracts. Half empty stadiums do not equate to huge salaries! He may be best off waiting another year for this Prost shit to blow over!

In the stands we were blown away by the number of times Minny kept trying to throw on Jackson!!! PJ must have been too busy rowing to read the scouting report.

This kid is my number one surprise player this season with the second being Stanley. I thought he would be serviceable but he's been absolutely fantastic.

If he earns the chance to go early I'm super happy for him and it's another feather in our NFL cap. If not, glad to have him one more season.

Can we dial back the slobbering a little? Let's see how he looks after next week.

I don't think he'll be gone after this season, but I would be very surprised if he is still around after next. I think he'd get drafted this season, but he'd be leaving a lot of money on the table if he went early.

If Jackson does come back Iowa could have its best secondary in a long time. Snyder and Hooker are very good safeties, and remember Rugamba was good enough as a true freshman to pass Jackson on the depth chart. Even if Manny is struggling a bit this year (mostly due to injury I believe), he certainly has the talent to be just as good as Jackson.

He needs another year. The OP of this thread is the most poorly disguised little Debbie troll I have ever seen. Definitely not a Hawk fan.

Please, I am one of the biggest Iowa fans around. My first game was 1997 vs Tulsa where Tavian Banks rushed for like 314 yards.

Definitely not a Nebby fan, in fact I despise Nebby. No fan base deserves to lose and lose again like they do.

Maybe the BIGGEST stretch of all time..
Really? We all know that the next college football tv contracts will be structured very differently. Why wouldn’t the NFL owners factor in damaged revenue into contracts? The $4m college coaching contact days are limited, as are the massive pro football contracts. The monied viewer demographics are fleeing the game for other forms of entertainment.

He has had a couple that he probably should have picked off as well and they probably would have been TDs.

Jackson HAS made great strides in his game ... thus, he deserves massive kudos for the improvements in his game. However, with that said, he's still not quite yet at NFL caliber play. Part of the reason why he has so many pass break-ups is that he gets targeted a ton. Opposing Os wouldn't go after him so much unless they saw aspect of his game that were exploitable.

Jackson is certainly having a big of a "break out" season ... however, he certainly would benefit from another season of honing his craft. The ultimate goal of a football player with NFL aspirations is not just to get drafted ... the goal is to "stick." The NFL really doesn't put the effort it once did in player development .... so consequently, it benefits a player to develop as much as possible BEFORE they hit the pros.

The exciting thing about Jackson, in my estimation, is that he's not even close to his plateau (in terms of ability) yet ... so there is still A LOT of room for improvement. Assuming he sticks around next year ... that would mean great things for our secondary!

They currently project him as a first round pick. (#24).

One site with a projected mock draft doesn't mean much.

If there is a consensus among those in the know that he is a legit second rounder, then he should absolutely go.

I don't want to see good players leave, and he is having a helluva season at corner so far. But, I also want the guys to get their pay day if that's what their goal is(which is the case for nearly all of them). Any player that can get at least 2nd round money should take that to the bank.
