Props to Fran

I've been critical in the past of him on how he manages his roster in games. Tonight I thought he did a solid job and it helped keep Iowa's lead from totally evaporating. He took guys out when they started to struggle but was still able to rest his starters and keep them fresh. Thought he really made better use of his talent tonight then Prohm.

This will be key for Fran this year in that this roster has some major holes, is very young, and will be a little overmatched in a lot of games this year. Solid job managing the game tonight Fran. A beer cheer for you!

Prohm's substitutions made no sense to me. Thomas should have played every minute possible since he was playing well.

Fran did a good job of managing minutes tonight.

My only issue is that we can not have Williams, ellingson, and uhl on the floor at the same time. no offense or defense.

Otherwise each of these guys playing with the right group are fine

Uhl better make the most of this opportunity. He's currently the one who will see the bench once Cook comes back.

I'm encouraged by the defensive play today. And it can still get better too. Its a little too bad that our center help (Garza, Nunge) is not gonna help us this year because we might have developed enough otherwise to make a tourney run. We're not tall enough in the post to put together enough wins to get us out of the hole we dug early this year unfortunately IMO.
