When you enter the portal, you're giving up your scholly with your old school. Some players try to return and their scholly is still there, but a lot of times it gone, then you're one of ~2,000 other former scholarship athletes without a school. Oops.

He improved a lot as the season went on. Can definitely score the ball and actually became pretty good finishing around the rim. Good size for a guard. If he goes down a level to a mid major he could really help a team. Again, if it’s DeVries as the coach he could be a nice piece if he stays. Not a star but could definitely help a transition.

There is no way Pryce is leaving if DD is hired.

entering the portal just puts your name out there. You'll see who wants you and for how much $$. You would be dumb not to.

The player cannot simply come back from the portal unless the coach agrees to it. It can backfire on some kids not having a landing spot.
That won't be the case for Pryce.

More than likely every player to enter the portal won't leave. It is a good business decision on their part though because there is no gaurentee a new coach will want each player. Best to keep your options open in case you aren't wanted back.

Just watched a "Short" on YT with Chad Leistikow and he said that, and that all signs point to DD coming to Iowa. With Pryce in the portal, does that mean there are uncertainties about DD coming in? I know that players can reverse they're decision to leave, but does this indicate that Pryce is just being prudent about making sure he has options should DD not be signed?
