Really? You don't find thoughts and opinions of rival fans interesting? My... I sure do.. That's why I come here. Anyway, take a vote. If you decide we should go then I'll go. Won't speak for others but I'll go, aside from stopping in to read the threads that is. Hell, it's your teams board. I don't want to ruin your expereince here. Just let me know how the vote goes..
Not at all what the thread was meant for John. Your input's been great. There's just a lot of blue and white guys coming on here lately looking for an "I gotcha there" post moment. It's annoying and thought I could filter that a bit by giving them a separate thread to post that onto. It's like we get it, you're all hyped up on the Suriano news....
I love the PSU news. I'm actually waiting for the other teams U of Utah, Michigan St, Florida A&M, Texas Tech, U of Alaska (just to name a few) to join in and help out with the discussion.

I've ignored most PSU fans for this reason, but there are a few who just love to talk wrestling, and I very much enjoy reading their thoughts. Johnstown, you're a great sport and I, for one, warmly welcome your input. It's easy to tell which PSU fans just want to thump their chests. They get ignored in a hurry. Folks like Johnstown, however, are a pleasure to have around. Keep on keepin' on, Johnstown! By the way, I always think of Jody Strittmatter and Carleton Haselrig whenever I see your handle on here!
John you've been a great poster and I love reading what you have to say. It's the ones who only post when good/bad news happens to Penn State/Iowa to stir things up that are super annoying. You're welcome here any time!
Thanks for the welcome guys. I love this board as much as my own. Alot of great insight and opinions shared here. I'm more laidback but do understand how rival fans can get under one's skin. For me though, I brush that stuff off and just appreciate the fact that they are wrestling fans. The sport needs as many of those as possible. I love the sport and never want to see it go away or suffer. Some of them may like to throw digs here and there and talk smack but at least they are interested. For that I try to embrace them as much as I can.
Yep.. Two of the areas best wrestlers right there. We don't have much going for us around here anymore since the steel mills closed down but we still have our wrestling. And great wrestling to boot! That's good enough for me... Lol
Btw, if anyone is interested in seeing the area Haselrig and Strittmatter grew up in, check out the movies "Slapshot" and "All the right moves". Both were sports movies filmed in Johnstown and both depict pretty well the struggles this town has gone through with the closing of the mills. Ya might even get some insight into why Western PA has put out some hard nosed, gritty wrestlers.

I disagree with the FT being lumped in with Diceman and the rest. He goes out of his way to trash Iowa AzChief. Come on man you know that.

Turk...I haven't had many issues with FT beyond the "my team is better than yours" debates on HR which is what these forums are for. I saw your dust up with him on BWI but what he posted was on his board so how can it really irk me.
Kinda funny that FT started a post showing Spencer celebrating his Jr World win looking like a PSU dude (all smiles unlike an "angry" Iowa guy). Ironic cause I watched Flo and Willie even commented that it was the first time he had seen Spencer smile in a long time.
So, I don't know if stuff like Dodgeball makes Spencer happy but I do know winning does...so come to Iowa young man...win some NCAA titles and get to the next level under TNT. We'll even throw in some whiffleball or Dodgeball if that's your thing.

That is my mentality when it comes to rivals, I am a pretty relaxed guy by nature so I don't really care, but for people who have thick skin and can just brush it all off I will gladly engage in knowledgeable wrestling conversation!
