True. There is a big difference between not knowing something they should have and covering up.
Everyone in the wrestling community should have know about John Dupont. Did they all cover it up? Dupont and Villanova University were sued in the 80s. The warning signs were there.
How about Bill Cosby. There had been over 30 women come forward and Cosby was still working. It was not until an audio confession went public that people turned on him.

One charge of showering with a boy at PSU campus. He was not employed by PSU at the time. Psu's officials brought it to the attention of the proper authorities. There was zero molestation at PSU according to the law.

I would agree with this, but I am also really impressed with Jack early on. Saw him at nationals, was surprised and impressed a bit, but not sure if it was ju a thought getting hot at the right time.
Watching him this year and he's more than just top game. He's impressive in all positions. Hard to believe for a 2nd year guy from Connecticut.
Thorn is pretty tough and it was pretty evident who was clearly the better wrestler despite him keeping it close for a bit. Wouldn't be surprised with a major next time they wrestled.

Not really. Mistakes were obviously made. McQuery took it to Joe and Joe went to the AD, VP and President(Northwestern grad). They did not believe the story and did not want to ruin Sandusky's reputation without any proof. They should have just passed the info on to the police. If they did that then PSU would have been totally in the clear. PSU learned after the fact that the police had already investigated Sandusky so they probably would not have done much with this case. Most likely none of the abuse would have been prevented but PSU would have been in the clear. The main mistake was not passing the info along to the police. Joe was 80 and he F'ed up. He did not cover it up but he f'ed up.
That is a given. You knew he was not that good before the season and you had a thread on it. Rankings change. Bo is moving up. The think that kills PSU is losing Nevils and not having a legit backup.
I wouldn't say it kills PSU. Neville was good and will likely be very good as he progresses, but he's a small freshman heavy in a pretty deep weight class. At the most it may cost a couple points at NCAAs but I don't think he's likely to have had a high placing. PSU is still really, really good.
FLO put OSU as #1 this week, Penn State drops. Nolf, Nickal and McCutcheon do not move up despite their results this week.

Amen...This had absolutely nothing to do with their wrestling program...unless some are just using that because they are pissed we aren't beating them so that's the best comeback some can up with to get underneath their skin. We can do better.
A whole bunch of PSU fans apparently bought tickets to watch a Pitt wrestling meet a couple of years ago. Easy to forget since not very many fans actually showed up to watch that "record" setting event.
Yes, and the team that holds the record gets an extra 10 bonus points at Nationals, right?
