There is nothing wrong with gun ownership and it’s a guaranteed right.

This is one of those wedge issues like abortion where most people are somewhere in the middle. It’s unwise to take an extreme position one way or the other.

That’s fine. It’s America. Gunnin’ and shootin’ is just like apple pie. I just want all you boys with your toys playing army to keep your heads on straight cuz you’re all one mental episode away from going from good guy to bad guy.
 
Has the issue of “gun ownership” ever been the real question here, Rico?

It seems to be “the gun issue” in America has centered more on who possesses firearms and what kind of firearms are available to the general public.
Should felons have access to them? What about the mentally ill? At what age? And why should “military style assault rifles” ( whose stated purpose for manufacture was for primarily military use) even be for public sale...and what about the size of ammunition clipps....things like that.
I honestly don’t recall there ever being a lot of controversy on whether or not firearms should be for sale though.
