Purdue -4 tonight...

I think Iowa is a better team if the main four all play more than 30 minutes. However, I have seen way too much weirdness at Mackey over the years to feel confident about anything. I wouldn't bet on this game.

Purdue is 278th in the country at scoring points. Iowa is 51st. I just don't see Purdue scoring enough points to win. Haarms is averaging 9pts a game.....Garza scores that many just from the free throw line.

Haarms will probably have 30

As others likely mentioned, Purdue isnt good on the road.....but can beat anyone at home.

Ex - embarrassing Michigan St 71-42 last month

I don't know, if we are hitting are shots we win...Comes down to that, Garza will get his, is CJ and Weezy making shots. Get them in foul trouble and parade to the FT line too would be huge.[/QUOTE]

West Lafayette is never an easy place to get a win. Purdue is fighting to make the NCAAs, so they will be playing hard. The crowd will be crazy. And there will be the typical Big Ten home cooking by the refs.

We need to stay composed. Can't have Garza getting into early foul trouble. He's better than either of Purdue's bigs, so we should have the advantage inside as usual. Boilers are good at defending the three, but we'll need Wieskamp and Fredrick to hit at least a few. The X-factor will be if Connor, Toussaint, Kriener or Evelyn can get going.

Gotta be strong on the defensive glass. Purdue leads the conference in offensive rebounding--a big reason for that is they're one of the worst shooting teams in the conference, so there are a lot of boards up for grabs.

And we absolutely can't let them get a huge lead right out of the gate. They ran Michigan State out of the gym a few weeks ago. That could easily be us if we aren't careful.

The start will be huge. Seems like most of our recent trips there Purdue has come out on fire and lt Iowa trying to play catch-up the rest of the game. Iowa has been so resilient this year that I think we should at least be right there most of the game as long as they don't fall behind by 15+ early.

Nostradamus' twin brother.

Not if you could see a close game with some close calls.
Your money, your call brother. It’d be tough for me to buy that kind of juice without just taking the spread in a game that my favorite team is playing in
