Terrible start for the B1G. Iowa, Michigan and Maryland need to wake up and come ready tomorrow. Need to be prepared for a battle. Maybe the B1G wasn't as good as we thought this year. Illinois and Wisconsin looked good. Rutgers game is early.

Big Ten was good because of the depth and the bottom of the conference. A couple great teams in Michigan/Illinois. Iowa is next. Then a bunch of teams that can be beaten by anyone that has a good shooting night.

Michigan St., Ohio St., Purdue are the first 3 Big Ten
teams who lost in the first round. Wisconsin and
Illinois have won their opening games.......................

Bottom Line: Big Ten 2 wins and 3 losses. Iowa
needs to be prepared tomorrow and play a good
game. Hawkeyes have to hit their 3's and defend.

All 3 B1G losses have been in OT. I guess all of the close/tough games this year didn't get the league fine tuned enough.:(

Don't care as long as Iowa plays well. The difference between the teams that lost and Iowa is that Iowa got every other team's best shot all year long. Theyll be ready to play.

Michigan State was a First Four team so essentially didn't belong in the tourney. Purdue was interchangeable with Rutgers, Wisconsin, and Maryland on any given night. Ohio State truly embarrassed themselves, though.

I only see Illinois and Iowa making it past the Sweet Sixteen. Michigan might even without Livers just because of their seed. Big Ten was deep in the sense that teams 5 through 10 were all field-of-64 caliber, but only the top four were Sweet Sixteen (or better) type of teams.

All three played horrible in OT. OSU was embarassing from the line. Michigan St. ran a horrible play to win the game. Purdue settled for bad shots and North Texas scored on whatever they threw up.

If Iowa,Mich and Md find a way to win the league goes 6-3 in 1st round...not great but not humiliating.
I root for the league because the better the league is perceived by recruits the better Fran can recruit.
Like the SEC in football.
Their fans chant SEC..SEC..SEC at bowl games cuz they know that a high tide raises all boats.

Makes you wonder if the long layover in Indy is affecting some of these B1G teams?

You could definitely go with mental fatigue and I would insert tired legs and bodies from a brutal conference schedule. I might add that this time of year you need to handle the basics(FT shooting anyone?!!!)

OSU missed 9 of 18 from the line, 18 of 23 from 3 pt. PU shot 36% for the game.

Complex analysis - ball must go in the basket more often than that to beat a tournament team.

It's so frustrating to see such poor free throw percentages. Your d-1 athletics. Put in the work to time to not give up free points.
