Purdue Start Time.

Generally, kickoff times and TV are announced at least 11 days in advance, although there are some situations when the decision can be delayed until 6 days in advance.

Should be Monday around noon-ish. There is some chance that it would be delayed until next Saturday at midnight, if the 6-day window is exercised.

I'd be surprised if it was anything but noon with Beth.

Other Big ten match ups that weekend include MSU- OSU, Michigan Penn State and Northerwestern Wisconsin.

No 8 p.m. ABC game has been set and I'm imagine MSU-OSU is a heavy frontrunner. But other match ups include UCLA-Utah (though probably fox), LSU-Ole Miss (I'd guess ESPN), Baylor-OK State (maybe fox, but if not that push Utah to late ESPN or FS1 at some me time) and TCU-OK (same issues as the one before), also have Temple-Memphis.

Usually it is announced 12 days prior, so tomorrow. Occasionally the networks are allowed a 6 day option and decide the Sunday before. We'll either know tomorrow, or we won't know until Sunday,

Just to expand, let's play fun scheduling time to make or best guesses (and we'll assume its a chalk weekend where nobody jumps over someone else i.e. SEC is on CBS or they do something like regional coverage at noon)

8 p.m. -- ABC- MSU-OSU
7:30 Fox--Baylor-OK State
8 CBS- LSU Ole Miss
7:30 NBC Norte Dame -- already set
No BTN late game

10:30 -- ESPN -- USC-Oregon

so at 7 on ESPN you have UCLA-Utah
at 7:30 on ESPN 2?
at 6 on FS1 you have TCU-OK

3 or 3:30 games
cbs-Arkansas--Mississippi State
ABC--Clemson-Wake/Michigan Penn State/maybe one other
BTN-?
FSN--some crappy Big 12 matchup or arizona arizona state
ESPN--?

Noon
ESPN--Wisconsin Northerwestern
ESPN2-?
ESPNU -- Louisville Pitt or North Carolina v Tech
BTN-- Regional coverage including Maryland Indiana, and Illinois Minnesota and maybe one more

Ok we have four question marks and need to put in some match ups. We have the following matchups to schedule. Cal-Stanford, (7:30 espn2 my best guess). Memphis-Temple (ESPN at 3:30 my guess). BTN probably takes a 3:30 game with no night game. But other match ups are better so they probably go with something like Illinois and Minnesota to get a couple of big fan bases and Illinois fighting for bowl eligibility. (though Iowa trying to move to 11 and 0 and going for a big ten west title would be intriguing, but the game could mean nothing for the BT race if Wisconsin loses earlier and does the BTN punish Iowa in a "national exposure way" like that?) If we do that it likely moves one of those ACC match ups in to the ESPN2 noon slot. Same if the BTN takes us for Noon.

Other match ups we still have to schedule or relegate to channels like the SEC network the U and conference channels include all other SEC games (that's the week they all play the crappy teams), Houston-Conn, NC-Va Tech and a bunch of other who cares.

So you can see why ESPN2 might want Iowa for that noon spot. Top six team fighting for a division title and they can talk long about the playoffs and our chances. Only other really plausible scenario is noon on BTN; but either way its a noon kick.

If Iowa beats Minnesota, 230 ESPN/ABC. 10-0 isn't kicking off at 11am with Beth Mowens.

over Penn State-- Michigan or Northwestern Wisconsin?

Prepare for disappointment.

FYI-- same week matchup last year, OSU-Minnesota both ranked was...a noon kick.

Honestly, I don't care when the kick-off is. Selfishly, 2:30 is a perfect time for tailgating. Whatever is best for our team is what I want...we have won in all time slots.

And it was a national ABC broadcast.

ABC just showed Ohio State-Rutgers as their Saturday night game, a few weeks ago.
They've also shown Ohio State-Eastern Michigan, a few years back, to a national audience.

ABC has turned into the All Buckeye Channel.

Feels like it will be a 2:30pm on ESPN2 game.

2004 was a 2:30pm ESPN game, and memories of Matt Roth introducing himself to the Purdue kicker.

7:24 mark

Looks like they are doing a 6 day option. Either 11 or 230 though. No true night game. I'm hoping for 230.

Yeah, I know they're trying to get the best TV slots for the best games, and this Saturday's results will affect that, but I wish they would take into consideration the thousands of fans who actually go and experience game day, and let them plan accordingly. For them, it's not just a matter of "what time do I do my yard work and what time do I turn on the TV?"

Well it certainly would be interesting if we are at 2:30 and before we kickoff the Wisconsin/NW game will be over.
