Just to expand, let's play fun scheduling time to make or best guesses (and we'll assume its a chalk weekend where nobody jumps over someone else i.e. SEC is on CBS or they do something like regional coverage at noon)
8 p.m. -- ABC- MSU-OSU
7:30 Fox--Baylor-OK State
8 CBS- LSU Ole Miss
7:30 NBC Norte Dame -- already set
No BTN late game
10:30 -- ESPN -- USC-Oregon
so at 7 on ESPN you have UCLA-Utah
at 7:30 on ESPN 2?
at 6 on FS1 you have TCU-OK
3 or 3:30 games
cbs-Arkansas--Mississippi State
ABC--Clemson-Wake/Michigan Penn State/maybe one other
BTN-?
FSN--some crappy Big 12 matchup or arizona arizona state
ESPN--?
Noon
ESPN--Wisconsin Northerwestern
ESPN2-?
ESPNU -- Louisville Pitt or North Carolina v Tech
BTN-- Regional coverage including Maryland Indiana, and Illinois Minnesota and maybe one more
Ok we have four question marks and need to put in some match ups. We have the following matchups to schedule. Cal-Stanford, (7:30 espn2 my best guess). Memphis-Temple (ESPN at 3:30 my guess). BTN probably takes a 3:30 game with no night game. But other match ups are better so they probably go with something like Illinois and Minnesota to get a couple of big fan bases and Illinois fighting for bowl eligibility. (though Iowa trying to move to 11 and 0 and going for a big ten west title would be intriguing, but the game could mean nothing for the BT race if Wisconsin loses earlier and does the BTN punish Iowa in a "national exposure way" like that?) If we do that it likely moves one of those ACC match ups in to the ESPN2 noon slot. Same if the BTN takes us for Noon.
Other match ups we still have to schedule or relegate to channels like the SEC network the U and conference channels include all other SEC games (that's the week they all play the crappy teams), Houston-Conn, NC-Va Tech and a bunch of other who cares.
So you can see why ESPN2 might want Iowa for that noon spot. Top six team fighting for a division title and they can talk long about the playoffs and our chances. Only other really plausible scenario is noon on BTN; but either way its a noon kick.
