There are 12 teams from the B1G in the Top 49 in the NET rankings; the Illini are #49. Only Northwestern & Debbie look like "easy" wins, if there is such a thing.

Purdue best Virginia by 29 points in Mackey and lost at Nebraska. They’re a dramatically different shooting team on the road vs at home. Their #14 Kenpom ranking was an illusion but they’re still a top 40 team.

Connor was apparently under the weather as well...let’s hope there isn’t a strain of the flu going through the team.
The official word is that Patrick will play when he is able,... However, I'm more inclined to believe that he is going to apply for a medical red shirt given where we are in the schedule...
My guess is that even if he were to get to the point where he was able to play this year, he would take the redshirt. So much of the year has past and it would take a little bit for him to get in the groove....and be able to help.
I would not 100% close the door on his playing, but I would say we are at about 99.5% that he won't.

At least two of our next 3 are the away trips to Lincoln and Evanston... if injuries are going to hit, it's probably about the only time we can sustain them and still tread water.
when's the last time our roster has been thinned out like this?

Thinned out by injuries... I'm not sure. But those Lick years sure were lean on talent...
If Baer's genes go into overdrive when he gets on the floor, that would be a nice boost.

After watching a few plays that Pemsl made the other night, Till doesn't sound like such a bad option.
the boneheaded turnovers are just killers, esp on the road
100% correct. Slop turnovers in such a close game are magnified that much more.
But on the other hand, we've seen Cordell make some good passes. Must be a decision thing.
