To the fear-filled eyes of the secular person:

There appears to be trouble all around our nation..
The deadly mass shootings in Las Vegas and Florida
are tragic reminders of man's innate sinful nature.
59 concert goers and 17 students and staff were killed
by an evil person. LIfe is filled with tragedy and without
answers.

To the faith-filled eyes of a Christian

We see a world created by a majestic God. He rules
the universe and it is sustained by His providence. God
sent his Son Jesus Christ to our planet to die for our sins
and give the free gift of eternal llfe to all who believe in
Him. The Good News is that sinners can be forgiven and
saved by God's grace.

Bottom Line: Without faith in God, life has no meaning

Proof of a loving God or a tragic life without answers?

The Easter message that Jesus Christ conquered
death resonates with those who believe in Him.
Christ shares His resurrection victory over the grave.
Christians will one day rise from the cemetery and
live forever with the Lord in heaven.

Bottom Line: This life on earth is temporary and
life in heaven is eternal.

Christian theology places the resurrection of Jesus
Christ as the pivotal point in history. The promised
Savior was born in Bethlehem and was crucified
outside Jerusalem. However, His resurrection from
the dead was the crowning achievement for our
salvation.

Lute...are you an offie? Your high falooting, morally superior view of your chosen life style certainly sounds like you might be. Just leave the rest of us alone...and sulk in your good fortune. Your view of life is so limited how can you even enjoy it?

I'm all in with the last half of your post.

I suggest we not dwell on the tragedies so well covered in your opening statement any more than the dozens that die each day on our nations highways, from drug abuse, etc. Are they any less tragic? Don't get me started on abortion numbers, which dwarf all others.
With 7+ billion souls living in this sin-filled world, literally hundreds of thousands if not millions die each day. Many without knowing Christ as their savior. That's the real tragedy.

Just trying to add perspective.

I agree. Do you really think this is the forum for this?
