Qualifiers

Surprised UNI with only two qualifiers (125 and 165) through 184. Must have been a tough qualifier for UNI.

Correct, it sounds like they are merging with the WWC for a regional qualifier for next season

They graduated some big time points. Last season they were a win away from a MAC title, this year they finished sixth. Had Kelly gotten one of the Big Ten's auto-bids, it sounds like their 157 would've made it in.

They were a very young team, I think their 197 (who should qualify) is the only senior on the squad, Cabell the HWT will qualify so they will return 3 NCAA qualifiers and quite a few were fringe qualifiers. UNI will look much better a year from now.

I also have a hard time understanding Tavanello.Terrible Big Tens and barely .500. I don't expect many points out of him anyway, but a goose egg would be best.

UNI lost 2 starters due to injury. One of whom was in the round of 12 two years ago in Levi W. Caldwell wrestled hurt, tried to give it a go but couldn't put it together. I believe he was round of 12 at 174 last year. Tough for a program like UNI to overcome these issues.

The Big 10 is stacked at HWT and his selection is a reflection of that. My guess is that had he not wrestled such a tough schedule he would look a little more deserving.
