I grew up on a farm, had to work nearly full time to pay my own way through college, I received no handouts ever. Yet somehow I’m a leftist because I can’t stand Trump or his policies.

The labels are simply applied to create an us vs. them dynamic. Trump gives MAGA someone to blame for their own failings in life. The harsh reality is they are where they are because they are either too lazy or too stupid to capitalize on the American dream. But it makes them feel good to have someone to name call and label. It’s pathetic and petty, but I guess I’m glad they have something in life to feel good about.
