Question for those of you who cook . . .

Are you referring to hexclad? It's high end. I'm not saying it replaces a big cast iron skillet but you would probably find yourself using it the vast majority of the time.

It might be high end for a non-stick product (or at least expensive) but any non-stick product is going to be inferior to a stainless product

Oh you are so wrong!

They don’t scratch up cookware, they are ideal for gently scrambling eggs, they are so versatile.
I like wooden spoons, but this is the dumbest thing I have ever ever ever ever ever read on this site. You don’t use a wooden spoon for scrambling eggs. That is completely moronic. What are you a communist?

Don't mean to hijack the thread but on a related note.
My wife is the best cook I know but she goes through pots, pans, spoons, knives, etc. like she is running a restaurant. She will dirty up a sink full just boiling eggs.

I don't have a favorite, but there's a few that I like better.

I definitely have a favorite knife. A victorinox grand maitre 8" chef's knife with the wood handle. Just a beautiful piece of cutlery. Although my shun santuko is a close second.

Higher end cookware often should not be washed in a dishwasher or have metal utensils used on them.

We have Carote pots and pans and they recommend hand washing and no metal utensils:

What type do you have, ceramic or aluminum? Detachable handles?
I am looking for a new set and have been looking at Made In. Most of what I want is sold out, as is most on the Carote site.

Ah ok

I don’t use any nonstick stuff. I can see why that would be useful.

We’ve had All-Clad for 20+ years and they still look great. Even put them in the dishwasher on occasion.
We have one small All-Clad skillet. My (no pics) daughters use it every day to make scrambled eggs and when they’re done there is a layer of eggs stuck to it like they’ve been fused with some adhesive that NASA developed to hold the Space Station together.

I use almost exclusively cast iron skillets and wooden/silicone utensils.
