You seem pretty butthurt that a company can do as well as it does just making fries and chicken strips. Seems like a pretty start business plan if you ask me. They only have to make a couple of things and seem to do very well financially. I’ve only been there a handful of times but kudos to them.First, Five Guys, like most places, has several other things in the menu. Hot dogs, milk shakes, BLT’s, etc.
Second, chicken strips are a fringe menu item. To sell a fringe menu item, one favored by children, as your primary thing would be inexplicable. To sell it as your only item is bizarre.
It’s like an old SNL skit that took place in a dying mall. The only store doing well was “The Scotch Boutique” that only sold scotch tape. The humor was in the weirdness of it.
Let’s hope no other company ever specializes in one area and is successful.
