This is based purely off the Grapple and factoring in the context of previous results and level of competition. So, I rank our lineup like this:

1. Thomas Gilman
2. Sammy Brooks
3. Brandon Sorenson
4. Cory Clark
5. Alex Meyer
6. Nathan Burak
7. Sam Stoll
8. Edwin Cooper
9. Logan Ryan
10. Patrick Rhoads

Mine would be:

1. Brooks
2. Gilman
3. Sorenson
4. Clark
5. Burak
6. Meyer
7. Ryan
8. Rhoads
9. Stoll
10. Cooper

1. GMan
2. Sorensen
3. Brooks
4. Clark
5. Meyer
6. Burak
7. Ryan
8. Stoll
9. Rhoads
10. Cooper

1. Gilman - majored a top-8 guy
2. Sorensen - decisively beat a top-8 guy
3. Clark - decisively beat an unranked guy
4. Burak - beat a 184-pounder by 2 points, but that's what he does, and he's at a weak weight
5. Brooks - tech-falled an unranked but tough guy and looked great doing it
6. Meyer - lost in the final minute to a top-4 guy
7. Stoll - lost to a top-5 guy but looked good for the first 3 minutes
8. Cooper - lost a thriller to a top-15 guy who gassed completely
9. Ryan - lost decisively to top-4 guy
10. Rhoads - lost by major to best currently active wrestler in the NCAA

Tarp, Brooks' opponent was ranked, something like 3-4 spots lower than Sammy.

I have Cooper above Rhoads and Ryan because 1) Neither Rhoads nor Ryan is likely to be the starter, while Cooper is at worst 50 %, and B) Cooper showed actual full on NCAA level skills with his takedowns and speed, whilst Rhoads and Ryan didn't really show anything.

These are fun
1) Brooks...was Maximus and destroyed a ranked guy who beat out Boyd, the guy that beat Brooks last year. Crucial Bonus points.
2) Gilman...Started things off right with a bonus win to a tough opponent
3) Sorenson...Almost majored a high ranked guy who beat him in Freestyle over the off season (blah blah freestyle wins don't matter blah blah, whatever)
4) Meyer...fought off his back earlier from a sick move by the #1 ranked guy in the country. Prevented a 6 point swing to almost come back to win.
5) Clark...He'd be first if he got what looked like a pin.
6) Ryan...gave a hard fought fight against the #1 kid in the country in his debut in front of record crowd. A lot of pressure, but stayed poised and prevented a major decision. (Preventing extra bonus points crucial to duel win)
7) Cooper...Almost came back to win after going down early. He showed sparks of explosiveness at times. Looked better than I thought he would. Marsteller should have been DQd, oh well.
8) Rhodes...About as much pressure as you can get going into the match and prevented the best wrestler in the country from earning additional bonus points over a major.
9) Stoll...Looked good early using his tie ups. Looked like he belonged on the mat with the #4 guy in the country. Didn't do much outside of tie ups though. He is massive.
10) Burak...yup, going up against a guy 10lbs lighter than him and barely coming out with a decision. It wasn't like Boyd choose to go up, he got beat out of his slot and forced to move up. Burak should have been dinged at least twice for stalling. Boyd was aggressor. Burak is better than this. I hope he gets on his offense as the season progresses.
