Again Carver is a "concert" venue and not a true basketball arena. Hilton coliseum is so much better and the fans are right on the court. Carver its like your at the movies.

I agree, you can look around the country and outside of maybe 20 programs most arena's are half empty for a late weeknight game. If I was the school I would offer any one with a student id to any high school or college besides Iowa a ticket for 5-10 bucks.

I watched South Carolina @ Tennessee and I am guessing 50% of the arena was empty and then watched ISU @ OSU and same thing. Late starts don't attract crowds

Iowa basketball is pretty much a non-entity here in Iowa City. If you didn't actively follow the team, you wouldn't know there was a game tonight... complete opposite of football weekends.

In fact I sat on the bench...that's right the actual bench or chairs that Peter Jok sits in and I can tell you even fully loaded Carver is a visiting teams Christmas present .. student section is non-existant too many contributors sitting doing nothing but clapping .. The pep band sounds like Girl Scouts it's downright pathetic..
