This week, Washington D.C. linebacker Kyle Taylor will be joining his older brother, Miles, at the University of Iowa to play for the Hawkeyes. We caught up with the 6-foot-2, 212-pound Taylor, who will wear #55 for the Hawkeyes, to talk about his upcoming freshman year and much more.
Q: When do you make the move to Iowa City this summer?
TAYLOR: I am driving out on June 10th early morning.
Q: What are you looking forward to in starting workouts with the team?
TAYLOR: Just looking forward to being with the team and getting better with the guys and learning from the older guys.
Q: What are your goals for your freshman year? Are you hoping to play or expecting to redshirt?
TAYLOR: I'm just going to work as hard as I possibly can and get better, but my goals are kind of personal to me.
Q: What will it mean to you to walk out of the tunnel at Kinnick Stadium for the first time?
TAYLOR: It will mean a lot to walk out into Kinnick because that's something special and something that you have to earn.
Q: When you look back at everything, what was it about Iowa that made it the right place for you?
TAYLOR: Coaches, people, development, personality, and the way they play football. Really, everything .
