20 Clown second chance points
tonight off 18 Clown offensive rebounds.

100% unacceptable, but it's the same sh*tty lack of rebounding, different game.

The Clowns win 89-80 after Iowa had led for 33:28 of the game (the game was tied for 3:27).

Iowa led by 13 points in the first half (39-26 with 4:09 to go) but blow the opportunity.

Honestly, we’ve known rebounding has been a problem the entire season. We’ve had nine games to fix it and it’s only getting worse. That is a true reflection of coaching. And that just speaks to the entire tenure of Fran. It’s time to move on

Yep. We've been piss poor at rebounding ever since Fran arrived in Iowa City in 2010.

Some of it is them being able to outjump us, and some is just bad luck. When they missed it was bouncing hard back to them.

That missed call was a free 3 for them, and brock's spin move turnover was a 5 point swing. Iowa likely wins if those don't happen.
I told my wife when we were up by 5 but fading, we were going to list by 10…was close

15 years, and the rebounding effort - or let's face it, the lack thereof - is still the same.

Its insane that a coach thinks he can keep doing that, let the other team get boat loads of points off 2nd/3rd/4th+ chances but still be extremely competitive all year long and vs teams that will seriously make you pay for that mindset.

They may coach different sports, but Fran and Kirk are way too similar in some respects.

I was really hoping Dembele could be that rebounding guy we need

He just isn’t good

True, but you need all 5 guys rebounding when you play small ball. Guys like Dix, Sandfort, Harding are not getting near enough of the 50/50 loose ball rebounds. Payton is overmatched at PF and Dembele is little bit clueless on defense at PF. Our guys are skinny, no muscle, not super athletes.

Dembele 3pt shooting is reason we were in game today. We'll probably have a long wait until the next game he goes off.

Not pissed we lost. I wish I was wrong, but I pretty much figured we would fold at some point. ISU puts so much pressure on a team. Iowa guys not mentally tough or physically tough

Iowa has not traditionally been a bad rebounding team under Fran. Poor rebounding and FT shooting this year are out of the norm.

I didnt watch, might watch highlights, hard for me anymore to sit thru a whole fran ball game until Feb.

So my question was the rebounding problems poor blockouts, poor hustle to get in position, slower off the floor, not getting legs into their jumps and getting beat for the ball? What exactly
