I did a little bit of Advocare years ago but have toyed with the idea of a little boost. I'm 5'8", 145 lbs, and just shy of 40. I run, bike and circuit train 4-5x per week. I don't lift to get big but just to stay toned. I don't struggle with motivation or energy but just looking or exploring rather another way to increase definition. I eat pretty well but am not perfect. Anything out there for what I am after without adding weight? TIA.

Viagra.

CLA, Wheyprotein "ripped" from GNC. DHEA is supposed to help as well.

Advocare is okay, spark is one of their better products but it is just a "pick-me-up" type drink.

At 5'8" and 145 lbs it sounds like more of a weight training issue than an issue with extra weight. What does your weight training consist of now? How many sets/reps, types of exercises, etc?

Eat a cheeseburger and fries. I was 5-7, 145 in about 8th grade and played football my senior year of high school at 5-9, 170 (probably my peak of physical fitness). You need some meat on your bones.

I'd start by getting an iPod and a few decent playlists rather than listening to some garbage laugh-track FM radio hosts during your workout. That alone should get you closer to your goals.

Oh I'm sorry, did I infer at any point that I listen to ANY kind of radio during my workouts? That wasn't even a good troll job.

There is no issue. I am not going into details, but I am looking to see if outside help will take me from one level to another.

I'd ask SP, I hear he's benching over his body weight these days.
On a serious note, Scottie wanted to do the same thing last year and went to GNC. He told them what he wanted to do and they set him up with the right supplements accomplish it. It cost him around $300 I believe for 6 months worth. It worked well for the first month. The other 5 months are in his garage still.

Eat better. Supplements are only really effective if your diet is on point.

I eat mostly chicken and turkey with red meat maybe once a week. I eat virtually no fried food and no fast food unless it's a sandwich shop. I have a huge garden so I eat fresh peppers, tomatoes, carrots, green beans, radishes daily. Nutri grain and fruit for breakfast. My only vices are a diet dew per day and beer...and I sure as hell am not giving that up. I feel like I am 22 so it's not like I'm so doey middle aged dude looking for a quick fix. What I am looking for is another jump in health and physique.

If your goal is to increase muscle definition, the simple answer is to lift weights.

Edit: I say this based on your above comments regarding your overall health, workout routine and eating habits as of today.

Not really about type of foods your eating. If you are looking to gain good clean weight, you need to really nail down your macro intake. Protein/Carb/Fat. Their is plenty of stuff you can google to develop your plan, and I certainly am not qualified to dispense a diet plan for you, but once I started really monitoring this and tweaking it I started to see changes in my body. When you eat is extremely important as well.

The only supplements that I take at all times is 5-10g of creatine, plenty of research is out their advocating the use of creatine for almost anybody. If you want to take a protein supplement, make sure it fits within your macro schedule.

Make sure you're drinking enough water or it can hurt your kidneys.

I am not looking to gain weight. I thought we had a few supplement guys...Clarinda or Bridawg? I know I can google it but the feedback I am getting is priceless. Bay aren't you a CF guy? Where do you work out?

Also, http://www.bodybuilding.com/ is a good place to buy. Find out what you need from GNC, then buy it for less. GNC does a good job, they are just pricey.

Thanks...I know I can walk in to Complete Nutrition but I am looking for result driven advice not someone trying to sell me something. I have low body fat and am plenty defined already...I really don't know another way to say it. I am just curious if a supplement can take you from ripped to shredded to use two common terms. I am already a big enough physco when it comes to working out and don't want to be the same about my diet even though I am very aware of it. Will a ripped fuel or something of that ilk benefit? I am happy with where am at, just curious if there is something else out there...a higher ground without being completely overboard.

Key West/NLXF by Kohls/Texas Roadhouse. I also run quite a bit.

Also, I'm not saying you're looking to gain weight, but if you want to add definition you will need to grow your muscles and reduce your body fat.

Steroids is probably the best option for you.

Just remember, all the people telling you that you need more meat on your bones probably have fat rolls that weigh 145.;)

Seriously, though, Vitamin B12 and maybe some Vitamin D (if you aren't out in the some a lot. Outside of that, if you eat well, with lots of variety of fruits, veggies, grains, legumes, lean meat, etc, you don't really need much else.

BTW, I'm 5'7 142 as of about 5 minutes ago, so I'm there with ya brother.

I'm 5'8", 145 lbs,

Jesus, I think even Panhandler was taller/bigger than you. You probably have a hard time getting on most amusement park rides with that stature. DO NOT ask this same question over on bodybuilding.com. They will roast you for your small frame

You can always try these

Surprisingly Pan was smaller. Or at least shorter.

Given your age, a test booster wouldn't hurt. Tribulus, ZMA. I take ZMA, creatine, whey protein. I lift heavy and do plyo. I don't eat to get big..195 and less than 8% body fat.....not eating much lately

Yeah with the shit you are going through that is not uncommon. I was a fiend when I was going through similar things and I weighed 135#, 3# over what ai graduated at. I thought I looked great but I was unhealthy. I probably don't need anything but exploring options seems intriguing. Hope you are as well as you can be.

Try the 1st Phorm Commander Go Pack. 3 pretty good products.

Thanks for the input Sarge. I don't think people really read threads they just look for the first insult or jab they can come up with and I get that. There was a thread here a few years ago about body fat and I interjected and was ripped apart for lying...and I get that too. I have prided myself for a long time about taking care of myself and looking/feeling good and just thought a little boost would be fun to try. Thanks for the info...I will check it out.

I'm lean and strong...shrugged 600 2x today. Just can't eat....I can lift and focus on that.

I feel you brother. How old are you? My heavy lifting days wrecked my elbows and I still have a tear in my rotator cuff but with PT I still feel good enough. Circuit training has been a good thing for me but I understand lifting/exercise being a stress relief, especially when dealing with BS.

I'm 38, holy balls....I'm getting on in years

Pump fuel works.
