Red Tide returning to the waters off of Florida.

The MIl's second husband offered us the use of his condo in Fort Myers Beach this upcoming March.

I experienced this last month and it was awful. Very few people on the beach.

I was in Longboat for a few days during the outbreak a few summers ago. Got right on the plane and went back home. Dead fish smell and constant burning of the eyes/nose. Great times

it does truly suck. Spent a weekend on Anna Maria last time it was bad (think it was late summer 2018). When the primary appeal of a place is to sit outside at a waterside restaurant/bar & eat/drink, the stench of rotted fish & horseshoe crabs kinda puts a damper on things.

Have we though about nuking the Gulf to eliminate the red tide?
