Alright pundits, selectors and others. We aren't down when it counts.

Again.

Would you quit tossing dirt on us prematurely?

You understand the more high school kids buy into your nonsense, the harder it is for Big Ten teams to recruit?

What do we have to do? Do we need another Sweet Sixteen team? (25% of the field?) Do we have to keep advancing until there is nobody left? What?

I think, anyone with half a brain can see how putting so much weight on the first month of the college basketball season is kind of crap, isn't it!

The truth is you and your RPI and who beat who in November cost a worthy team an invite! But I'm not just complaining about Iowa's snub.

I'm talking about the sports media's East Coast Bias! I'm sick of it. I'm sick of the manipulation and resulting horrible seeding and what amounts to at best a subconscious will to eliminate the fly over states from being relevant!

Holy Cow were the Big East and ACC overrated! So much so, many people need to be shown the door. Fired. For pure idiocy. You (*&* $*(()) ^%$#^&*& (*(^&% Homers!

It's ridiculous. Since the beginning of this decade (2010), four different B1G teams have been in the Final Four (Michigan, MSU, Wisconsin, OSU) and at least one B1G team has been in the Final Four every year with the exception of last year and 2011 (when two of the Final Four teams represented the Horizon and Colonial conferences). I would add two B1G teams were in the Final Four in 2015--the SEC, ACC, and Big East have accomplished that feat once this decade as well (having more than one team in the Final Four).

Teams in Final Four of P5 conference since 2010 by conference (*I'm going off the conference the team was in at the time of their Final Four appearance, not which conference a team currently plays in, for when that issue comes up):

ACC--Duke, North Carolina, Syracuse (2016)
SEC--Kentucky, Florida
Big XII--Kansas, Oklahoma
Big East--West Virginia (2010), UConn, Louisville, Syracuse (2013), Villanova
B1G--Michigan, Michigan St, Ohio State, Wisconsin

Of the P5 conferences, the Big East has put in the most teams (5) but with two of those five no longer being in the conference. The conference with the next most? Yep, the B1G.

You're right on the money, Dan!

The ESPN "bias" is pretty easy to see why. It's BUSINESS. ESPN owns the SEC network, while I believe the B1G is 50% BIG 50% Fox. I also believe Pac12 owns their networks. These are COMPETITION. The selection committees are like juries that can't help but be contaminated and biased from all the garbage from ESPN. I believe ESPN sees the B1G network as the biggest competitor and anyone paid a nickel from ESPN has incentive to keep the B1G down.

B1G was a young league and teams got better as season progressed. Michigan with Wagner emerging, DJ Wilson a Freshmanb, and senior Walton getting hot is example of vastly improved team.

RPI was setup based on early out of conference matchups. Once you get into league play, it is hard to move up RPI wise.

I agree B1G got low seeds, but in the end you got to beat the big dogs at some point, so I don't think it matters much. Teams like Villanova and Louisville should be complaining about the tough matchups they got just to make the sweet16.
